BackgroundThe National Development Plan (NDP)
provides the framework for monitoring development outcomes in Uganda.
Over the last decade, remarkable achievements have been made in the economic and social sectors (For example, Growth rate of GDP of over 5% per annum, Inflation rate below 10 % per annum, among other accomplishments).
However, there have also been challenges in some sectors like agriculture and little progress has been made.

About 3,220 households from 322 Enumeration Areas (EAs), selected initially from the 7,426 households visited by the UNHS 2005-06.

maintained for three consecutive years (2009/10, 2010/11 and 2011/2012).
Thereafter, one third of the sample was replaced by new households using the frame
developed for the 2014 Population and Housing Census. .
