1. Login to UHMS system

Please go to https://uhms.nus.edu.sg/studentsPlease read the instructions on the Home page.

Log in using your NUSNET ID and Password under Account Login.If you had forgotten your ID or password, please visithttp://www.nus.edu.sg/comcen/gethelp/guide/itcare/faq2009/Common_NUS_Password_Issues.pdffor more information.

If you are certain of your NUSNET ID and password is entered correctly and still not able to accessthe system, please contact Residential Service.

2. Application

2.1Terms & ConditionsUpon Login, please read the Terms and Conditions of application before you proceed with your

application. Ensure your personal details are correct. If there are any changes please contactRegistrars Office to effect the changes as information is imported from ISIS.

You may refer to more information on the accommodation exercise you are applying for usingthe Links provided in the right side of the window.

Click on the Application tab to begin

2.2Begin ApplicationSelect the period of stay that you are applying. Click Save & Continue

Click I Agree if you are agreeable to the declaration and would like to proceed with anapplication.

2.3Personal ParticularsPlease check your personal particulars indicated. For any changes, please contact RegistrarsOffice to affect changes. Insert the fields # required.

Click Save & Continue

2.4Next-of- KinPlease check your next-of-kin personal particulars indicated. Insert the fields # required.

2.5Health DeclarationPlease state your health condition (if any). Otherwise, please indicate None

You may attach scanned supporting medical documents using the Supporting Documents tab

on the left menu. Please refer to instruction 23 of this manual for more details to attachdocuments. Note that you may still enter into the UHMS system anytime before the applicationperiod is over to upload supporting documents.

2.6Accommodation PreferencesYou may select up to 3 accommodation preferences. If you would only like to apply only aspecific accommodation, please leave the other preferences blank.

Click Save & Continue.

2.6 Accommodation Preferences(cont)Please tick the box if you would only like to be considered for preference/s stated in previous page.

Note that if you indicate this option, we would only process your application if there are available

vacancies at your hostel choice.

If you have any special needs (e.g. physical disability), please insert comments in the free textwindow. You may also attach scanned supporting documents using the Supporting Documentstab.

2.7LifestylePlease indicate your preferences for roommate/ lifestyle in the event that you are allocated adouble room.

2.8Roommate RequestThis feature allows you to search potential roommates based on lifestyle search or to indicate afriend as a preferred roommate (only applicable for students offered double room). All requests aresubject to OSA review.

2.9Accommodation Application FeePlease prepare your online payment mode for Accommodation Application fee. Only thefollowing modes are accepted:

- VISA/ MasterCard Debit or Credit Card- eNETS (Only for Singapore based account holders with internet banking facilities by DBSBank, United Overseas Bank (UOB), and Citibank Singapore)

For online payment, please ensure to disable your pop-up blocker before clicking on PayNow. (Note that pop-up blocker will prevent your payment confirmation to be captured by oursystem). You may save your payment transaction reference or print screen as proof ofsuccessful payment.

Your Application Fee status will be updated automatically as Pending once the payment issuccessful. This means that your application and fees have been captured by the system and are

pending the final outcome.

NOTE:

If you see the Application Fee status as In Progress after you had made an online payment,please send your transaction number and details via our online email system atwww.studenthousing.nus.edu.sg . We will check if transaction has been completed and willmanually update the Application Fee status to Pending. Please do not make multiplepayments.

3. NUS Accommodation OfferResidential Services would process all applications for NUS accommodation. Only successfulstudents would be contacted via your student email. Please click on the link provided in theemail before the offer deadline to Login the UHMS system and load the following page.

Check the period offered is correct. Click on the option then Save & Continue.

3.1 Accept/Reject Offer

Please indicate if you would like to accept/decline the NUS accommodation offer. Note that theLocation and Type cannot be changed. You may click the Confirm button once you had madeyour selection. Please complete the last next steps to confirm your NUS accommodation.

3.2Students offered Halls onlyYou would be directed to indicate your preferred Hall Meal plan. Note that meal plans arecompulsory and non-refundable. ( Students offered Residences or yo:HA hostels where mealsare self catered would not see this page).

3.3Housing AgreementPlease click on the links to read and understand the Housing Agreement, Rules and Regulationsand the Accommodation rates.

If you are agreeable to the rules/regulations and rates, click I Agree to proceed.

3.4Advance PaymentPlease prepare your online payment mode for Hostel Fee advance of S$200. Please note thathostel fee advance paid is non-refundable/non-transferable and would be forfeited if you fail tocheck-in your hostel by the required deadline. If you are unable to check-in due to subsequent

overseas NOC or SEP by NUS, please refer to our penalty policy here.

Click Pay Now. You will be directed to a secure website to make payment.

4. Check-in Documentation4.1 Advance Payment Receipt

Important Note :

You will not be able to view this page anymore after you proceed to the next page.You mustprint or save the page as proof of payment.

After you have made payment successfully, print out the following Advance Payment Receiptor save as HTML/ Print screen file.

4.2Application StatusAfter advance payment, please click Application Status to print out the confirmed status of

your offer.

Please bring along this copy and your Advance payment receipt (page 17).

Your NUS accommodation is now secure with the successful payment of advance hostel fee.

After acceptance of online offer : Application Status changes to Offer AcceptedAfter payment of hostel advance fee: Application Status changes to Successful

Please send us an online email at www.studenthousing.nus.edu.sg if the status is not updatedafter payment.

5. Supporting Documents5.1Attaching Supporting Documents

You may enter into the UHMS system anytime before the application period is over to upload

supporting documents if required.

You may scan all your document and save in the following accepted formats .docx, .doc,.jpeg,.pif, .pdf.

A maximum of 2 documents can be attached with limit of 15 MB in total.

NOTE

If you have many pages to submit, please do not upload the document page by page as there is alimit of 2 documents you may attach. You may scan all your documents together and save asone file. You will be able to upload as long as the total file does not exceed 15 MB.

If your server is slow and you encounter time-out message while uploading, you may save yourattachments in 2 parts and upload as Attachment 1 and 2. Due to limited space, ensure that thedocuments are relevant to the application you are submitting.

5.2Confirmation PageUpon successful upload of document, the confirmation page will load.
