Discourteous or unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated. Each competitor may enter one kata, one kobudo and one kumite division. Traditional white gi is required. Sleeves may not be rolled up and may be no shorter than half way up forearm. Pant legs may not be rolled up. KATA Karate Kata will be judged using the flag system. Should you advance to a next round, students green belt and above must perform a different kata. Kobudo Kata will be judged using the point system and a different kata is not required if there is a tie. All traditional Okinawan weapons will be allowed. KUMITE Groin protection for males and hand protection and mouthguards are mandatory for all competitors. Helmets are optional for all competitors but recommended for those under 18. Chest protection is mandatory for all females and body protection is recommended for males under 18 years of age.
