Use alongside examination pieces for more to play at each level!“Teachers seeking further material to enlarge their pupil’s repertoire but without having to search through quantities of music that is technically too challenging for their pupil’s level, need look no further. This selection of pieces from classical to modern and studies of all kinds, is suitable for each of grades 4, 5 and 6. I have kept in mind the technical requirements for major music examinations at each level.Whether the examination system is followed or not, this collection presents an opportunity for any pupil in their developing years to broaden their musical experiences and explore the wide variety of music that is within their grasp.” James Rae

Clever Cat goes on SafariEasy – middle-grade solo piano pieces
Mike CornickMoving on and a step higher in technical and interpretative skills from the first
book of solo pieces – Clever Cat goes Solo, this next adventure takes Clever Cat into the wilds of darkest Africa. Here he comes face to face with some exotic and
awe-inspiring wildlife including elephants, meerkats, crocodiles, and, of course, his distant relative and king of cats – the mighty lion.
Easy Play-Along FluteSelected easy pieces from Vivaldi to DvorákFlute and CD Edited by Barbara Gisler-Haase From Vivaldi’s Spring to to Dvorák’s famous “From the New World” theme, this book and CD offers flautists the chance to play gems of the classical music repertoire that are technically not too challenging for the beginner – medium-grade player. Easy arrangements of famous works, along with selected pieces originally written for the flute, are included, each presented as a demonstration performance for listening and again as a “minus one” version for playing along. Live recordings of chamber ensembles, string instruments, guitar, harp and piano will also encourage young musicians to play in ensembles.

Solo Tango Solo PianoGustavo BeytelmannGustavo Beytelmann has taken some of the most beautiful tango music ever written and created his own arrangements for solo piano. His collection shows how varied the genre is, from the ragtime-like lilt of El esquinazo to the romantic waltz La loca de amor by Pablo José Vázquez and the energetic El entrettiano by Rosendo Menizabal, as well as a new arrangement of Carlos Gardel's immortal El dia que me quieres.
Beytelmann shows too how technically varied these works can be. Each of the pieces features specific performance techniques such as accents, tempo changes, balance and attack and he advises “Spend some time concentrating on these elements and you will find the works even more enjoyable.” These immensely rewarding pieces are equally suited to the concert stage as to the piano lesson.

Nicolai Podgornov’s graded pieces for piano
Vol. 2 INTERMEDIATENicolai Podgornov
Nicolai Podgornov’s compositions for piano students, at all levels, inspire and stimulate with beautiful and enjoyable melodies. At the same time, however, quite
specific pianistic skills are addressed. This new collection of pieces for grades 4 – 6 is the second in a three-volume series: EASY, INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED.
The pieces are presented in order, the technical level gradually increasing throughout but never obscuring the pleasure of music making.

Gustavo Beytelmann has made a significant contribution to the evolution of the Tango, through his numerous recordings, performances and through his teaching.
Born in Argentina, he began his professional career writing music for the cinema, working as pianist and arranger for the record industry and performing with various jazz ensembles. After moving to Paris, Astor Piazzolla invited him to participate in his European tour. He has continued to perform and compose across Europe and the Americas. From 1993 onwards he intensified his work as a composer.

Tango Cello DuetsCarlos Gardel
Arranged by Diego CollattiCarlos Gardel became a legend in his own lifetime. He wrote, often together with the
lyricist Alfredo Le Pera, numerous Tangos and through his singing, film appearances and recordings became one of the most significant and popular figures in the Tango’s history.
Some of his most well-known pieces are featured in this volume and Diego Collatti’s arrangements retain all the captivating, magnetic charms we associate only with
the Tango. Suitable for cellists of middle-grade standard and beyond. Pieces include:
Bueno Aires querido, Volver, Por Una Cabeza and El dia que me quieras
