the four time president of Indian National Congress. He

was born in Allahabad, North-Western Provinces, India

on 25 December 1861, in a Sri Gaud Brahmin family to

Pandit Brij Nath and Moona Devi. His ancestors, known

for their Sanskrit scholarship, originally hailed from

Malwa(Ujjain), Madhya Pradesh

X was the President of the Indian National Congress on

four occasions (1909 & 1913,1919,1932) and was also one of the initial leaders of the Hindu Mahasabha. He was also the Chairman of Hindustan Times from 1924 to 1946.
