We will walk to the main campus for the start of the tour. This walk is considered “easy”. Please bring water and sun protection. Free parking at the UCI Human Resources building: 111 Theory, Irvine, CA located in the University Research Park on campus Located in Newport Beach near the Oasis Senior Center, the hidden gem of the Buck Gully Reserve is a 300 acre natural, coastal canyon. The canyon floor has been restored to native habitat for plants and animals. The canyon rim has expansive views of the coast and, on clear days, Santa Catalina. Our lollipop-shaped route is approximately 4.5 miles with 500 feet of elevation gain.
