UC Merced is a research institution and I am a researcher, so it prepped me perfectly

for what I am doing by training me on how to think and learn independently and with

an interdisciplinary group of people. I was pre-med when I was a student, but the

research kept calling me while I was living abroad, and now I am a full-time scientist!
