Streamline Corporate

UK business Streamline Corporate has been supplying uniforms and other branded items since 1975, and over the past eight years they have benefited from five UBT consulting sessions. We talked with Managing Director, Roger Paterson, about the value they get from consulting, and other UBT services.

One of the first suggestions was to raise the prices.

“Implementing that suggestion alone brought in additional profit that meant within 6 months we’d already made an eight times return on investment from the consulting session.”

When you sign up for a consulting session, we’ll start by sending you through a one-pager to get a high-level overview of the challenges you’re facing.

This document is the primary tool that guides us as to what areas of expertise our consultants will need to address.

The selection processWe consider a wide range of factors so you get the best results possible from your session. Here’s some of the key ones:

• Industry – Do you need someone with specific knowledge of your industry? Could you benefit from someone with perspective from a different industry? .

• Business model – Getting someone with knowledge of your model can be crucial when making big decisions.

• Challenges – Learning from someone who has gone through the same challenges and come out the other side can help you learn from their successes and avoid their mistakes.

• Geography – Wherever you’re doing business, we can help.

• Business dynamics – Are you a multi-national or a start up? This changes who we assign. We also take into account the dynamics of your leadership team, and the unique needs of family businesses.

Once all this is done, we compile the list and present it to you. From there we can work together to narrow down the list and ensure we select the right people.

Arrowquip Australia

Arrowquip grew from a small family business in rural New South Wales to a booming multi-national, becoming a trusted name in livestock handling equipment across the globe.

Growth brings its own set of challenges, which is why in 2020 the company’s Australian division turned to UBT’s Platinum Consulting.

We spoke to David Brown, their Managing Director, about the experience.
