Basic Details[]Description
Commercial distribution is undergoing profound transformation due, essentially, to changes in consumer valuesand the phenomenon of market globalisation. In parallel, numerous phenomena have significantly increasedcompetitive pressure in the sector, imposing demands on commercial companies to renew their operatingprocesses and the management role of their functions.Consequently, in order to maintain their positions and grow within the new competitive panorama, companiesrequire the availability of professional staff capable of identifying business opportunities and clients' needs andthe know how to put competitive growth strategies into practice in a constantly evolving market. The consumermarket is currently made up of two competitive models: large-scale distribution and franchising are leaders in thedistribution of products of mass consumption; and small-scale distribution is becoming specialised (or ought to be)in niche markets. In order to adapt to new competitive models, companies must be able to count of people whoare capable of designing high level competitive strategies, since the process of change is giving way to a majorrebalance of power between the manufacturers and distributors, provoking large-scale development of techniquesand complex strategies for business management. The Master in Business Administration and Distribution Management at the Universitat Autnoma de Barcelonaproposes to support commercial companies in this delicate phase of change in their operations, facilitating thetransfer and development of the necessary skills to successfully face this challenge, while intensifying the dynamicsof innovation and competition in commercial companies.[]Admission requirements- University degree[]CalendarStart date (dd/mm/yyyy): 27/10/2012End date (dd/mm/yyyy): 13/07/2013[]
