U3A TAKAPUNA INC From our President In November we had an interesting mini talk from Warren Karno-Atkins entitled “Speaking of You”. Just a short talk and then Warren worked the audience to get people talking about writing. Already we have had people asking if we can have a Writers Group. We will visit this subject in the New Year. Our main speaker was Laurie Wesley with a Topic of “Aceh - Ten Years After the 2004 Tsunami Disaster”. Once again a good talk and an interesting subject. 2020 will no doubt bring new groups (as mentioned above) and we are already planning for some great speakers. Remember if you know of any good speakers and think they would be good for U3A please contact Christine Ball. Her details are in your Newsletter or on our website.
