We, the Empire, were the first to arrive to this forgotten land.

It was nearly a year ago that the college of Wizards came to us with urgent news upon their lips. They

spoke of ancient powers and sorcerous magic, forgotten legends of distant, unknown lands. They

brought texts with them that told of a kingdom long lost to the perils of time, of a ruler and dictator who

at once held the fate of the world in his terrible grasps.

It sounded like a childs tale to me. Some made up story of an ancient evil who would consume the

world should we not be true to Sigmar. Now Im beginning to think otherwise.

It didnt take long for the Wizards to convince General ____________ of the matters urgency, and

within a week we were prepared to set sail for this damnable kingdom.

The journey overseas was far from smooth, and the closer we got to our destination, the more the

weather worsened. What began as light rain quickly worsened into thunderous storms of a furious god.

The wind was a torrent of unnatural strength, breaking heavy into our sails and masts. By the end of the

perilous journey, our fleet was all but submerged by the torrent of wind and rain, and only as we nearedthe ancient land did the storm relent.

The sight of dry land was the only thing that kept us going in the last hours of the terrible journey. It

brought us a renewed sense of hope and determination. Were no masters of the sea like the gody High

Elves, were men of land: grass and dirt.

And yet our journey was far from over.

As we set foot on the land it was clear it had been long abandoned. It was an immense landscape, but it

had remained unscathed. No dwarven tunnels, or bestial totems were to be found, nor was the

ruination of the forces of chaos present as far as the Imperial Legion was concerned, this land was nowthe Empires.

It was at dawn that we next set out in search of a formidable position to establish our stronghold. The

winter season would be approaching fast upon us, and even through the Wizards testaments against

delaying the purpose of our arrival, we set out towards the center of the vast landscape. It took only a

few weeks to reach our new destination, and then the real work began. We had less than three months

time to build the capitol for our new land before the cold of winter would begin to claim.

We worked without hesitation and within the span of only two months our central city was complete.

Surrounded by an eclipse of forests, backed by an unmoving mountain, and kept secure by an expanse

of wild rivers, our grand fortress was ready to lead the bulwark in claiming this new land for the Imperial

    Legion.

Then came the chill wind of Winter, and with it the armies of Chaos. They came from the south,

marching relentlessly from their massive warships. Their presence sent the wizards into a heightened

sense of unease and restlessness. They said that their presence here will force the hands of many. At

the time we didnt understand their meaning, and simply branded them as crazed fanatics as we always

    had

But then the chill winds ceased, and they all arrived. One by one, the armies of the world reached the

coastline of this ill forgotten kingdom. First among them were the Elves, their elegant ships carrying

them effortlessly through the sea. The High Elves claimed the western isle while their dark kin gatheredin the North, their arrival wresting the beasts of the forests from their hibernation. Next came the Orcs

in their crudely crafted ships, clamoring into the southern mountains while Dwarven ironclads crushed

into the northern ranges. Last to arrive were the Ogres, reaching the vast island on gargantuan vessels

    of slaved wood and blood.

No longer is this the land of the Imperial Legion, claimed in the name of the Empire. It has been stolen

from our grasp and for now I go to war to reclaim that which is the natural right of the successors of

    Sigmar.
