Drama Studio Space to meet and mingleThe “Drama Studio” is the place to hang out, have a coffee and meet speakers. From time to time there will be intimate lectures and break out sessions where participants can enter into a dialogue with the speak-ers. The studio will be hosted by Creativity Awards, which will also have an exhibition in the space.

Calligraphy workshop Writing with the goose quillAgain we will have a calligraphy workshop with Andreas Frohloff, the Head of FSI Type Department. The topic this time is writing with the goose quill. Places in this workshop are strictly limited. If you want to take part, make sure to be there early.

Joshua Davis’ social grid Be part of the presentationJoshua Davis came up with a very special idea for his talk (Saturday 19:00 at Logan Hall). He developed something he calls The Social Grid. Before TYPO, Joshua asked you to send in artwork based on this grid, which he intends to integrate into his presentation. Don’t worry if you have missed the call for entries, you still have the chance to participate at TYPO. Look out for Joshua’s table in the foyer where paper, pen and instructions are waiting for you. Hand in your patterns until Friday evening directly to Joshua or our lovely TYPO crew.

Bike ride with Erik Spiekermann Lettering themed London tourOur facilitator Erik Spiekermann has agreed to take nine TYPO attendees on a bike tour through London. Get to know Erik’s favourite typographic sights. The conditions? Have time on Sunday afternoon and a roadworthy bike. Throw a paper with your name and e-mail on into the lottery box at our merchandising booth in the foyer. Winners will be drawn by Erik on Saturday 20:00, right before Irma Boom’s lecture.

Meet the speakersCertain speakers will be available for small informal Q&A sessions after their talks. Watch out for details.
