Tag questions are used when the speaker is trying to involve the listener in the conversation.

The listener is put in the position of agreeing or disagreeing with the speaker.

They are formed by adding ¿no? or ¿verdad? at the end of a sentence.

When the sentence is negative only ¿verdad? should be used. Using ¿no? after a another no is a no-no.
