This type of computer contains 4 parts to it; monitor, system unit, mouse and keyboard. The monitors jobs is to display all information sent from the system unit. The system unit is the housing for all the internal hardware of the computer. The mouse and the keyboard’s job is to control the computer. This computer is an importable which means that it stays in one location.

Desktop

A laptop is similar to a desktop. It only contains a view differences for example a laptop is portable and a desktop is not. Laptops have the same components as a desktop. Laptops are better for people that travel around.

Laptops

This a called a netbook which is just a smaller and cheaper scale of a laptop. It can do all the same functions as an laptop the only difference is that a laptop has CD-ROM and a netbook does not.

Netbooks

This is called a server. A server provides network service to clients. They usually contain a high storage and powerful to be used. There are many different storages that can be purchased.

Servers

This device is a portable computer which is popular for business people and is called palmtop. They are normally touch screen so it is easier to use. It is able to do the same things as a laptop and a desktop. Functions available on this device is surfing on the internet, listening to music and receiving emails etc.

Personal Digital Assistant's (DPA’s)

This a PDA but in a better and bigger version.
