1. This is the first and initial idea for my typography design which consists of duplicates of the word I have chosen which is 'untidy'. To represent the word I have pasted duplicates of the same word to show the lack of organization which is one of the characteristics of the word and also that there a lot of objects in one space which is also another characteristic of the chosen word, I have then rotated and moved the words so that in some places they have overlapped which I think represents the word well because it is messy. I decided to change and develop this overlapping technique and used it in my final typography design. The advantages to this design are that it looks messy and shows a lack or organization which I think represents the word well and it is readable and easy to understand. The disadvantages are that it looks a bit too simple which takes away some of the characteristics of the word I have chosen and it also looks too clean because of all the white, unused space.

2. This is my second and final typography design which I think is better for a number of different reasons because I created this design as what the word represents, because it represents untidy and messy I decided to make it by placing the content of the design into it by pasting it all over the page at random points to convey the disorganized and messy characteristic of the word, I then rotated and moved the content around a little bit until I was happy with the result. I have again used the overlapping technique but it worked better with this design because there were a greater number of duplicates. The advantages of this design are that it represents the word better because it looks more disorganized and messy which represents untidy, it is also similar to my initial idea based on a few aspects which a few developments. The disadvantages are that parts of the page have still been left white and bare which I could change by adding more content.
