Typefaces/fontTypefaces are the way in which letters are styledAb Bb Cc Ab Bb Cc Ab Bb Cc Ab Bb CcTypefaces is the main style (like times roman numeral) and font is more specific such as times new roman bold or italic and the specific size for example:Times new roman 18pt Italic
Upper case / Caps (or capitals)
Upper case letter are: A B C D E F…etc. used in the start of a sentence and for the first letters of names of people and places etc.
Lower case
Lower case letter are: a b c d e f…etc. and are used most often.
Numerals
Numerals are the symbols used to represent a number such as 1 rather than writing one or 2=two or 57=fifty seven or I = one in Roman numerals v=5 L=50 VI = 6 & IV = 4 etc.
Glyph
Glyphs are symbols that are used instead of words such as with the astrological symbols, the symbol is sometimes used instead of writing the word out.
Other common Glyphs are things such as: ;?*&%?!These are symbols but we know what they mean for example ? Means a question has been asked and ! Expresses and urgent/ Angry (/or some other) emotions.
Point size (pt.)The Point size is the overall size (generally in height) of a font when printed on a page. 1pt is equal to 0.3528mm. Example:

Alignment styleAlignment styles:
Right aligned textThis makes the text start
at the right as if therewas a margin there
Centre aligned textThis makes each line
centeredLeft aligned textText margin is on the left
Justify textJustified text is spaced to fit on both left and right margins without stretching the letters just the spaces between words.
Distribute textThis makes words and or letters space out to make perfect lines on both the left and right
Text LeadingText leading is the space (in pt.) between lines of text.
Text kerningText kerning is the space between individual letters (in pt.).
Text trackingText tracking is the space between letters (in pt.). Example:
DingbatsDingbats are symbols used to replace letters either random or still recognizable as a certain word such as just replacing one letter or replacing it with a symbol that looks similar to the letter. Dingbats are often used to censor curse words.
