The objective of this two-day workshop will be to provide tools for a more effective communication. This program:

FIRST will help create better self-awareness, a critical element of emotional intelligence and a foundation to building connection. To do that the program will explore o What are your values and what is important to you?o What is a defense mechanism? o What is a stress triggers and how does it affect our bodies?o How does shame live within us?

OBJECTIVE

Communication according to blogger Tim Urban, has been the most signi�cant factor in the growth of humanity from who we were millions of years ago to who we are now. And yet in spite of a large number of material on the subject, communication still remains an elusive concept. Communication builds connections and relationships that in turn build better networks and eventually better families, companies and communities.

STRUCTURE

These sessions will give the candidates an opportunity to read material and do some hands-on exercises which will allow candidates to work with the concepts learnt. The program facilitates learning through group exercises and using the group coaching methodology. This should also help long term sustainability to enforce and perpetuate their learning to bring about change, something much harder to achieve.

Each module will have 3 steps;

STEP 1: Prior to the lecture each participant will receive a pre-read on what the course will cover. It will also have a few exercises to be completed.

STEP 2: The course lecture is will be held over 2 days of 7 hours each. Starting at 8.30 am until 5.30 pm with two half hour breaks and a one hour lunch break.

STEP 3: Post module, the participant will decide the developmental goal after agreeing with the module supervisor.

ABOUT

NAUSHAD RAMOLY

He is also a coach to several executives and has run leadership and coaching courses in Mauritius for companies which include Barclays Bank and Mauritius Commercial Bank.

Prior to his position in the US, Naushad worked for 12 years for a Fortune 500 Company as the Legal Director and Head of Corporate Affairs starting his career in Mauritius back in 2002. In that role he lived and worked in several countries including Lebanon, Iran and Dubai and Kenya where he was the Legal Director overseeing 17 countries. He is most known as a change agent in the roles he occupied and as well as coaching effective teams that have worked with him.

Naushad read law at the University of Mauritius before pursuing an LLM from the University of London as a Chevening Scholar where he specialised in Intellectual Property Law. He led a legal practice in Mauritius from 1997 to 2002 in intellectual property advising businesses, the media as well as the government of Mauritius of intellectual property and media law. He also served as Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) in Mauritius at that time and was a visiting fellow at the University of Mauritius lecturing in media law and ethics. During that time, he also founded and ran two businesses, an import and distribution Company as well as a TV production Company.

Naushad Ramoly is a quali�ed ICF coach from the Graduate Business School (University of Cape Town) and holds a Masters in Organizational Psychology from INSEAD Business School Singapore. He currently works in the US as the Chief of Operations & Strategy in a real estate Company owning and managing over 5000 multifamily apartments with an annual revenue of over USD 40mn.
