Transcript of Two day masterclass: Placemaking and The City at Eye Level · Thessaloniki, ΣτART / Topio,...
Two day masterclass: Placemaking and The City at Eye Level Learn how to create great streets and places for people. Public space definition, ownership and management and vacant ground floors are some of Thessaloniki’s challenges, either due to big projects, such as the new waterfront and the pedestrianization of Agia Sofia street, or through daily-life aspects such as maintenance responsibility and the economic crisis. How can new local communities and coalitions be mobilized? This masterclass provides placemaking tools in order to support and boost the resiliency of Thessaloniki’s day-to-day issues.
