Who is Twice-as-Nice

Twice-as-Nice is a fund raising organisation that contributes money and effort towards underprivileged children in and around Soweto and Alexandra. Through a lean structure of seven individuals and active support of participating corporates, we have developed a successful formula

The Twice-as-Nice Foundation

Who is Twice-as-Nice

•  Founded in 2004 by four Dutch professionals living and working in Johannesburg

•  Concept is focused on organising an annual theatre/musical event in Soweto

•  We offer underprivileged children (6-12 years old) a great day out •  Twice-as-Nice corporate staff involvement enriches CSI programs and

contributes to BB-BEE scorecard •  Raise funds to make event possible and donate surplus funds towards child

projects, hence the name, Twice-as-Nice, as the event benefits young South Africans twice!

What we do

Twice-as-Nice serves vulnerable groups of children from 6 to 12 years. We do this through an annual fun cultural event. The event program contains cultural elements such as story telling, African music and theatre performances. The aim is to offer children with a difficult life a great day out, including transport, meals, drinks, presents and a wonderful, lasting memory

What we do

In 2011 we participated in the 94.7 Cycle Challenge for the first time. This was such a positive experience that we’ve decided to race with our own Twice-as-Nice team in 2012: a great opportunity to raise more funds and extra exposure for our sponsors!

What we do

Every year we consult our beneficiaries on their needs. Of course, we focus on sustainable projects but sometimes we’ve felt blessed to be able to ease urgent needs. Our donations range from a bakery project for Noah’s Arks to replacing school uniforms that got lost in a fire. We’ve built strong relationships with our beneficiaries and we know that the donations are well spent.
