From the Pastor’s Desk: Reflection: Matthew 22, 1-14 Parables, like the one we heard today, tell how God relates to his people. The implica-tion, then, is that God’s people ought to re-late to each other in the same way. In this parable, the king represents God. God invites all to his banquet. When the regular guests refuse to come, he continues to invite until the banquet tables are filled. In God’s king-

dom, unlike that of the king, the banquet room has an infinite capaci-ty. If we are to act toward each other as God acts toward us, we are to invite everyone into our lives. The woman in the story realized she was judging and dismissing this man from church, and not inviting him in. If there are those who don’t wish to participate, then we go to others and keep asking until we get a positive response. Jesus mod-eled this behavior for us repeatedly during his ministry when he ac-cepted the company of all-he ate with Pharisees and also kept compa-ny with those on the margins of society. He continued to spread the Good News of the Father’s kingdom to everyone. We are not here to judge others, but to welcome them as God wel-comes us. God invites us to be a part of his kingdom. The way that we respond to others in our daily lives marks the way we respond to God’s invitation. Lord God, may we always know the joy of living in your presence and grow in the hope of seeing you face to face in your everlast-ing kingdom. M.S.F. Del Escritorio del Pastor:Reflexión: Mateo 22, 1-14 Las parábolas, como la que hemos escuchado hoy dice cómo Dios se relaciona con su pueblo. La implicación, entonces es que el pueblo de Dios debe relacionarse entre unos a otros de la misma manera. En esta parábola, el rey representa a Dios. Dios invita a todos a su ban-quete. Cuando los clientes habituales se niegan a venir él sigue invi-tando hasta que se cubran las mesas del banquete. En el reino de Di-os el banquete es diferente de la del rey, porque la de Dios tiene in-finita capacidad. Si vamosa actuar hacia a unos a los otro como Dios actúa con nosotros debemos invitar a todos en nuestras vidas. la mu-jer en la historia se dio cuenta de que estaba juzgado y despediendo a este hombre de la iglesia en lugar de invitarlo.Si hay quiene no desean participar luego nos vamos a otros y seguimos pidiendo hasta que tengamos una respuesta positive. Jesús los demostro este com-portamiento en varias ocasiones durante su ministerio cuando aceptó la compañía de todos - Comió con fariseos y también hizo compañía con los marginados de la sociedad. Continuó para extender la buena noticia del reino del padre a todos No estamos aquí para juzgar a los demás, sino para darles la bienven-ida como Dios nos da la bienvenida. Dios nos invita a ser parte de su reino. la forma en que respondemos a los demás en nuestra vida muestra la manera en que respondemos a la invitación de Dios.
