This important result has been achieved thanks to a new bag-filter unit manufactured for the German company Andritz Fliessbett systeme GmbH, European leader in the manufacturing of chemical industrial plants. The required task was to obtain the proper filtration for an input flow of warm air (60 ° C), containing powders (20 g/m3) of azelaic acid with a particle size of less than 50 micron. This substance is particularly aggressive because it tends to corrode the steel structures; furthermore, when it is mixed with the air is also highly esplosive. Also the external environment in which the filter must be installed represented a critical issue, because of the corrosive atmosphere, in relation to the proximity of the chemical plant to the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea (Sardinia island - Italy). Pictures of the filter during the 3d design phase Another critical element was represented by the necessity of containing the overall dimensions, based upon the layout of the chemical plant. This problem was solved through a three- dimensional design of the entire filter, which enabled us to manage the s tatic dimensioning of the system, as well as the resistance of the filter to the pressure generated from the explosion. Based on the instructions of the customer, we therefore decided to build the filter as a seamless panel, using steel n. 1.4404 (AISI 316L), since it’s pa rticularly suitable material resistant to the action of corrosive agents while ensuring the mechanical and functional requirements. The requested filtering value (less than 5 mg/m3) has been guaranteed by the use of filtering bags made with a special water and oil repellent material, capable of filtering continuously, on a plant working 24/7 without interruption. The filter efficiency of the bags was guaranteed by a reliable and manageable cleaning system, able to stabilize the differential pressure between the surfaces of the filtering-bags. The cleaning of the filtering bags was obtained with a pneumatic system for compressed air (at 6 bar) dried and disoiled, which operates in automatic mode through an electrical control unit. From the hopper of the filter, the filtered dust was discharged through an ATEX certified rotary valve, manufactured also in steel 1.4404. Automatic bags cleaning system The explosive dust-air mixture has been considered at the design stage according to ATEX. Passive exhaust devices for overpressure control The manufacturer reserves the right to amend or update the technical details and the design in the interest of technical progress. sch-newsletter-rev1 Issued by: MS www.tvm-termoventilmec.com All rights on this catalogue rest at any time with our firm. Periodical of technical information on the state of the art within the field o f safety and on the development of TVM termoventilmec Srl products

New Bag-Filter Unit manufactured to be applied in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry TVM termoventilmec srl, in the continuous research and development of technological solutions for the suction and filtration industry has developed a new range of bag filters, designed, engineered and built to operate in the industrial chemical and pharmaceutical sectors . This important result has been achieved thanks to a new bag-filter unit manufactured for the German company Andritz Fliessbett systeme GmbH, European leader in the manufacturing of chemical industrial plants. Also the external environment in which the fil ter must be installed represented a critical issue, because of the corrosive atmosphere, in relation to the proximity of the chemical plant to the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea (Sardinia island - Italy).

Another critical element was represented by the necessity of containing the overall dimensions, based upon the layout of the chemical plant. This problem was solved through a three-dimensional design of the entire filter, which enabled us to manage the static dimensioning of the system, as well as the resistance of the filter to the pressure generated from the explosion.

From the hopper of the filter, the filtered dust was discharged through an ATEX certified rotary valve, manufactured also in steel 1.4404.

Insulation for the bag-filter unit has been added to avoid condensation and to avoid a dangerous heat transmission for the operators who must occasionally go to control activity and / or manteinance.. Finally, the excellence of the technological proposal of TVM termoventilmec can be denoted by the accuracy of the manufacturing and preassembly procedures used for the bag-filter unit. The entire production has been made in order to guarantee the preservation of the chassis components from any attack by external agents due to the deterioration of the protective outer layer of steel AISI 316L. The most suitable manufacturing processes have been identified ; in general, the entire construction process has been studied and monitored also to avoid this risk.

Assembly phase

The final result is a new range of bag filters that projects TVM termoventilmec in the industrial filtration of the chemical-pharmaceutical industry, according to the commitment of the entire technical staff and commercial business in search of filtration solutions in various industrial areas.

The ongoing objective of TVM is to offer its customers: SAFE PRODUCTS AND SYSTEMS Every TVM product and system is the result of painstaking research and development by our technicians in compliance with current CE regulations, increasing reliability, durability and safety while reducing maintenance costs and operational expenses. COMPLETE QUALITY ASSURANCE All products are manufactured and tested at our factory in Spresiano (Treviso), according to Italian and European regulations to maintain high quality standards. RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT Concern for the environment is also evident in the precise decision to ensure that noise emission and particulate pollution values are well below legal limits: this allows them to be ISO 14000 certified. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE We respond promptly with competent personnel to any problems that might arise during the life of the system and we offer planned and individually tailored assistance for each customer. CONTINUOUS RESEARCH Our technical office is constantly busy in the continuous improvement of the products and the production processes with particular attention to energy saving, in the design of machines with elevated performances and therefore with smaller energy consumption
