1 INTRODUCTION

The Temporary Visa Holders Mandatory Study Conditions – TAFE NSW provides for the implementation of the Temporary Visa Holders Policy – TAFE NSW.https://detwww.det.nsw.edu.au/policies/student_serv/equity/tafe_temp_visa/PD20050089_i.shtml

When enrolling temporary visa holders, TAFE NSW staff must refer to the requirements of the Temporary Visa Holders Policy – TAFE NSW , the Temporary Visa Holders Mandatory Study Conditions – TAFE NSW and the Temporary Visa Holders Enrolment Administrative Procedures – TAFE NSW (Intranet only).

2 STUDY CONDITIONS

2.1 General conditions

2.1.1 TAFE NSW will only offer a place in its courses and programs to individuals who hold a current temporary visa.

This excludes individuals seeking to enrol in a TAFE NSW CRICOS approved course to obtain a student visa under the Australian student visa program.

2.1.2 TAFE NSW will only enrol holders of temporary visas who have entered Australia.

This excludes individuals who have obtained a student visa under the Australian student visa program.

2.1.3 Temporary visa holders with a visa condition number 8205 on their visa wishing to undertake study in TAFE NSW involving face-to-face learning for a period of more than 4 weeks must show in accordance with the Migration Act, evidence at enrolment of passing a chest X-ray examination carried by a medical practitioner who is qualified as a radiologist.

2.1.4 Temporary visa holders with a no study condition on their visa are not entitled to study in TAFE NSW.

2.1.5 Temporary visa holders may not enrol in a course/module/unit (this includes final examinations and other assessments) which goes beyond the expiry date of their visa.

2.1.6 Holders of a visa without an expiry date may enrol in a course/module/unit until their visa conditions change. TAFE NSW is not responsible for these holders’ non-completion of a course if a decision by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship requires them to leave Australia.

2.1.7 Holders of a visa with a condition of three or four months study may undertake study of three or four months once only during the duration of their visa.

2.1.8 Holders with a condition of three or four months study may undertake study of up to a total of 13 and 17 weeks respectively. These 13 and 17 weeks exclude holiday, vacation and initial orientation periods, but include:

weekends, public holidays and the study vacation periods prior to starting the final examinations or other final assessments, and

the last day of the final examinations or other final assessments.

2.1.9 New Zealand residents, other than New Zealand citizens, entering Australia have their study eligibility determined according to their visa sub-class. This includes New Zealand permanent residents.

2.1.10 Temporary visa holders are required to notify campus student administration staff of any change in their residency status, including their visa conditions.

2.1.11 Students found to have made false claims regarding their residency status are liable to be excluded from TAFE NSW and may have legal action taken against them.

2.1.12 Procedures to be followed in enrolling temporary visa holders in TAFE NSW courses are outlined in the Temporary Visa Holders Enrolment Administrative Procedures – TAFE NSW.

2.2 Programs Funded outside the TAFE NSW fee

2.2.1 Temporary visa holders who are eligible to enrol in programs funded outside the TAFE NSW fee (Outside Funded Programs) do not pay the TAFE NSW fee, Concession fee or tuition fees. This excludes core-funded programs outlined in 2.2.2.

2.2.2 Temporary visa holders pay tuition fees and the TAFE NSW fee when enrolling in Get Skilled (GS), Get Skilled Above Base (GSAB) and the Outreach Course Non-Commercial Rate (ONC) programs.

This excludes temporary visa holders who are exempt from payment of tuition fees as specified in the Schedule of Visa Sub-Classes outlined in the Temporary Visa Holders Mandatory Study Conditions – TAFE NSW or who are exempted from payment of tuition fees by the Institute Director.

2.2.3 Temporary visa holders’ eligibility to enrol in an Outside Funded Program (other than in those programs outlined in 2.2.2) is subject to the guidelines for that program and must be confirmed prior to enrolment by the appropriate Institute contact officer. TAFE NSW policy requirements relating to the visa expiry date or to a ‘no study’ visa condition cannot be overridden.

2.3 International students and their dependants

2.3.1 Principal student visa holders (visa class “P”), on visa sub-class 570, 571, 572, 573, 574, 575 and 576 are required to be enrolled in a Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) approved course. International students wishing to undertake a CRICOS approved course at TAFE NSW have their enrolment arranged by the International Students Centre, NSW Department of Education and Training. If these holders wish to study a CRICOS approved English course they can also apply directly to a TAFE English Language Centre.

2.3.2 Student visa holders enrolled in a course approved under the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS), may undertake additional part-time study in TAFE NSW, outside their CRICOS approved course.

2.3.3 Student visa holders enrolled in a course approved under the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS), may NOT undertake additional study on a full-time basis outside their CRICOS approved course.

To enrol in additional part-time study, these students must:

be undertaking a full-time CRICOS approved course provide evidence of enrolment in a CRICOS approved course in an educational institution

(e.g. a letter from the educational institution)

not enrol in additional part-time study which goes beyond the expiry date of their visa and must enrol and pay directly at TAFE NSW colleges

pay full-fees for their additional part-time study as specified in section 7 of the Temporary Visa Holders Mandatory Study Conditions – TAFE NSW.

Fee rates for overseas students wishing to undertake additional part-time study outside the CRICOS approved course are outlined in section 7 of this document.

2.3.4 Dependants of principal student visa holders (visa class “S”), on visa sub-class 570, 571, 572, 573, 574, 575 and 576 have a visa condition of three months study only. These holders are only eligible to enrol in commercial courses for a maximum period of up to three months.

These holders should be referred to an office of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship if they wish to undertake study of a longer duration.

2.4 Apprentices and trainees

2.4.1 Temporary visa holders registered in an apprenticeship or traineeship may only enrol in TAFE NSW apprenticeship and traineeship programs if they hold an Approval Letter issued by the Commissioner for Vocational Training (or delegated officer) or the Vocational Training Tribunal confirming registration as apprentices or trainees. Applicable tuition fees and the TAFE NSW fee are specified in the Schedule of Visa Sub-Classes outlined in section 6 of the Temporary Visa Holders Mandatory Study Conditions –TAFE NSW.

2.5 TAFE Delivered HSC VET courses (TVET)

2.5.1 High school exchange students on visa sub‐classes 571 and high school students on a temporary visa who are enrolled in the TAFE delivered HSC VET (TVET) courses are to be enrolled in the same manner as all other TVET students, that is, they are exempt from payment of tuition fees and the TAFE NSW fee.

For TAFE NSW funding and billing arrangements for the government and non-government school sectors refer to the TVET Guidelines : https://www.det.nsw.edu.au/vetinschools/vet/tvet/index.html for the current year.

2.5.2 High school students on a temporary visa and high school exchange students on visa sub-class 571 must pay tuition fees and the applicable TAFE NSW fee or Concession fee if they wish to enrol in a TAFE course beyond their approved TAFE Delivered HSC VET (TVET) Program.

2.6 Commercial programs

2.6.1 Temporary visa holders eligible to enrol in commercial programs pay the applicable commercial fee determined by the Institute Business Unit. Tuition fees, the TAFE NSW fee and the Concession fee are not applicable.

3 TUITION FEES, TAFE NSW FEE AND CONCESSION FEE

3.1 Payment

3.1.1 Temporary visa holders are required to pay tuition fees, the TAFE NSW fee or the Concession fee. Some visa categories, as specified in the Schedule of Visa Sub-classes included in the Temporary Visa Holders Mandatory Study Conditions – TAFE NSW are exempt.

3.1.2 Temporary visa holders pay tuition fees and the TAFE NSW fee for Special Access courses. This excludes temporary visa holders who are exempt from payment of tuition fees as specified in the Schedule of Visa Sub-Classes outlined in section 6 of the Temporary Visa Holders Mandatory Study Conditions – TAFE NSW or who are exempted from payment of tuition fees by the Institute Director or who are exempted from payment of tuition fees by the Institute Director.

3.1.3 Temporary visa holders are required to pay tuition fees for the total Nominal Student-Teacher Hours for each module or unit as outlined in the TAFE Student Course Information System. The tuition fee rate is $10 per Nominal Student-Teacher Hour.

3.1.4 Tuition fees should be paid at the commencement of each semester for all semester modules or units. For full year modules or units, tuition fees are payable in total upon enrolment.

3.1.5 Temporary visa holders commencing their classes after the starting date of a module or unit pay tuition fees for the total module or unit Nominal Student-Teacher Hours as outlined in the TAFE Student Course Information System.

3.1.6 Temporary Visa Holders must notify the Temporary Visa Holder Officer of any change to their enrolment, this includes enrolling in any additional units of study, withdrawing from a unit of study, transferring course or campus or withdrawing from the course. Any change to an enrolment requires the Temporary Visa Holder Officer to review any changes to fees

3.1.7 Temporary visa holders who are required to re-sit a Category A or B examination must re-enrol in that module/unit and pay tuition fees as well as the applicable TAFE NSW fee or Concession fee. This excludes students who have been granted a Concessional Examination.

3.1.8 Temporary visa holders eligible to study in TAFE NSW who as a result of the Temporary Visa Holders Audit are found to be liable to pay tuition fees, must pay tuition fees from the starting date of the course before continuing with their TAFE NSW study.

3.1.9 Tuition fees are not reduced for public holidays occurring on scheduled class days.

3.2 Revenue from tuition fees

3.2.1 Revenue generated from tuition fees paid by temporary visa holders enrolled in TAFE NSW courses is to be retained by the college/campus in which the student is enrolled.

3.3 Exemptions

3.3.1 In extenuating circumstances requests for individual exemptions from payment of tuition fees and the TAFE NSW fee may be considered by the Institute Director.

3.3.2 Individual temporary visa holders who in extenuating circumstances wish to apply for tuition fee exemption must put in writing the reasons for requesting an exemption and include any supporting documentation. Each application is to be considered on a case by case basis and the Institute Director will make the decision whether or not to exempt. A new request must be submitted on an educational calendar year basis.

3.3.3 Eligibility for exemptions from the TAFE NSW fee is determined according to conditions outlined in the TAFE NSW Enrolment Policy.

3.4 Failure to pay fees

3.4.1 Students must be advised at the time of enrolment that failure to pay fees will result in the student being excluded from classes and in transcripts, testamurs and result notices being withheld. This advice is provided on the TAFE NSW Enrolment Form and the Supplementary Enrolment Form.

3.4.2 Temporary visa holders eligible to study in TAFE NSW who as a result of the Temporary Visa Holders Audit are found to be liable to pay tuition fees must pay tuition fees as outlined in section 3.1.

4 CONFIRMATION OF VISA STATUS

4.1 Visa Documentation

4.1.2 Temporary visa holders, including holders of eVisas must produce their passport or documentation showing their current valid visa to confirm their residency status and eligibility to study at TAFE NSW. Certified true copies of documents may be accepted.

4.1.3 Documentation should include one or more of the following:

a passport from an overseas country official travel documents documentation issued by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship eVisa printed as outlined in 4.1.6 an arrival stamp on documents issued to military personnel and their dependants under the

Status of Forces Agreement Documentation issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Australian Declaratory Visa.

4.1.4 Visa details must include: current visa sub-class current visa class name of the applicant/student expiry date of the visa (note some visas do not have an expiry date) visa conditions (where applicable).

4.1.5 Temporary visa holders other than eVisa holders should be referred to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship when these details outlined in section 4.1.4 are not specified.

4.1.6 Holders of an eVisa should:

produce a passport from an overseas country, and,

either be:

assisted by the campus Temporary Visa Holders Officer to access a computer to download their visa details including visa class and sub-class, visa expiry date and visa conditions from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship website Visa Entitlement Verification Online – VEVO for eVisa holders (VEVO) - http://www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/vevo.htm. An eVisa holder would need a password provided by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, date of birth, passport number and country of passport to access their visa details; or

referred to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to obtain a visa label in their passport, or a letter issued by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, confirming their visa details when these details cannot be obtained from the VEVO.

5 STUDY ENTITLEMENTS

5.1 Australian citizens, permanent residents, New Zealand citizens (residing in Australia), Norfolk Islanders and temporary visa holders who are exempt from payment of tuition fees as specified in the Schedule of Visa Sub-Classes outlined in section 6 of the Temporary Visa Holders Mandatory Study Conditions – TAFE NSW must be given priority for enrolment over other eligible temporary visa holders.

5.2 Temporary visa holders are entitled to TAFE NSW support services, other than learner (tutorial) support, recognition and interpreting services, on the same basis as other students and intending students.

5.3 Learner Support

5.3.1 Temporary visa holders are entitled to learner (tutorial) support on the same basis as other students when they enrol except where this support is to be delivered on a one-to-one basis.

5.3.2 Temporary visa holders requiring learner support on a one-to-one basis must enrol in Learner Support (Commercial) No 8900 and pay commercial fees established by the Institute Business Unit. This excludes temporary visa holders: who are exempt from payment of tuition fees as specified in the Schedule of Visa Sub-

Classes outlined in section 6 of the Temporary Visa Holders Mandatory Study Conditions - TAFE NSW or who are exempted from payment of tuition fees by the Institute Director

who have a disability who are enrolled in OTEN delivered non-commercial programs.

5.4 Recognition

5.4.1 Recognition – mainstream programs

(i) Temporary visa holders who are exempt from payment of tuition fees as specified in the Schedule of Visa Sub-Classes outlined in section 6 of the Temporary Visa Holders Mandatory Study Conditions – TAFE NSW or who are exempted from payment of tuition fees by the Institute Director are entitled to recognition services on the same basis as Australian citizens and Australian permanent residents.

(ii) Tuition fee paying temporary visa holders granted recognition for modules/units in the TAFE NSW qualification they are enrolled in are not entitled to a refund of the tuition fees paid for those modules/units.

5.4.2 Recognition – commercial programs

(i) Institutes determine the level of commercial recognition services offered to individuals including temporary visa holders.

(ii) Temporary visa holders are not entitled to apply for commercial recognition services and related training programs when: they have a No Study condition on their visa, or the commercial recognition services and related training programs go beyond the expiry

date of their visa. 5.5 Interpreting services

5.5.1 Temporary visa holders’ eligibility for interpreting services is outlined in the Interpreting Policy – TAFE NSW.

5.6 Refunds

5.6.1 Delegation to approve refunds rests with Institute Directors, under Delegation T211. This delegation can be sub-delegated to appropriate senior college/campus managers within the Institute.

5.6.2 No refund is provided to temporary visa holders of the TAFE NSW fee or the Concession fee unless TAFE NSW cancels a course.

5.6.3 In the event that TAFE NSW cancels a course, module or unit, a full refund applies. If an individual class is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances a refund does not apply.

5.6.4 A refund of tuition fees will not be made where a student is excluded from class due to misrepresentation of residency status at the time of enrolment.

5.6.5 If a student decides to discontinue TAFE NSW study there is no refund of the tuition fees the TAFE NSW fee, Concession fee or commercial fees.

5.6.6 Where an enrolled student decides not to commence any TAFE NSW study a refund of the tuition fees applies, less $250 processing costs.

5.6.7 If a student discontinues a TAFE NSW course, module or unit to enrol in another TAFE NSW course, module or unit, a refund of tuition fees is calculable from the date the student discontinued the course less $250 processing costs. Eligibility for a refund of the TAFE NSW fee or Concession fee is determined according to the TAFE NSW Enrolment Policy.

5.6.8 If a student must discontinue a course, module or unit due to exceptional circumstances they may be entitled to a refund of tuition fees. An individual assessment of the circumstances is to be undertaken by the College Director/Campus Manager. In such cases, tuition fees are to be refunded from the date of discontinuing study less $250 processing costs.

5.6.9 If a student is granted permanent residency during a course, or acquires a visa that is exempt from payment of tuition fees, the student is entitled to a refund of tuition fees calculable from the date of change of status granted by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship less $250 processing costs. A student must provide written confirmation from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship of their change in status.

5.6.10 Holders of a visa without an expiry date who are required to terminate their studies due to a Department of Immigration and Citizenship decision on their residency status may be entitled to a refund of tuition fees if a substantial part of a course hasn’t been completed. Refunds of tuition fees are to be calculated from the date of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship’s decision, less $250 processing costs.

5.6.11 Where a student is entitled to a refundable amount of less than $250, the refundable amount becomes the processing cost.

1 When this visa indicates a condition of a maximum of three months study then the holder may only undertake TAFE NSW modules/units with a duration of up to three months as specified in their visa condition. Tuition fees, the TAFE NSW fee or Concession fee apply.

1a Changes to legislation in July 2009 now allow holders of this Bridging visa subclass to remain lawfully in Australia while they have the Department’s decision (cancellation or refusal of visa) reviewed. Please note that there are no changes to the study conditions that may be imposed on this visa subclass. See Note 1 above.

2 The applicable TAFE NSW fee or Concession fee is determined according to guidelines outlined in the 2010 Enrolment Administrative Procedures – TAFE NSW.

3 Holders may only enrol in commercial programs that do not lead to a formal AQF qualification for a maximum of three months. Commercial fees are determined by the Institute Business Unit.

Dependants of International Students wishing to undertake study of a longer duration should be referred to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, ph: 131 881).

4 Holders may only undertake TAFE NSW modules/units with a duration of up to three months (or four months) as specified in their visa condition. Refer to items 2.1.7 and 2.1.8 of this document.

5 Holders are only permitted to enrol in their specifically tailored professional development program. Fees are determined by the Institute Business Units.

6 Primary course must be an apprenticeship or pre-apprenticeship program. Holders may engage in additional study in TAFE NSW.

7 When the visa indicates a condition No 8539 or 8549 the holder Is not permitted to study outside the regional designated area.

8 Refer to TAFE International Students Centre for enrolment in a CRICOS course, ph: 02 9217 4801. Those international students wishing to enrol in additional part-time study outside their CRICOS approved course must be referred to TAFE NSW Institutes. Additional information and fees to be charged

by TAFE NSW Institutes are included in section 7 of this document.

9 High school students on a temporary visa and high school exchange students on a visa sub-classes 571 who are enrolled in the TAFE Delivered HSC VET (TVET) are to be enrolled in the same manner as all other TVET students.

For the TAFE NSW funding and billing arrangements for the government and non-government school sectors refer to the TAFE Delivered HSC VET courses (TVET) Guidelines for the current year.

These students however must pay tuition fees and the TAFE NSW fee or Concession fee if they wish to enrol in a TAFE course beyond their approved TAFE Delivered HSC VET courses (TVET).

10 When the visa indicates a condition No 8207 holders are not entitled to study in TAFE NSW

11 Principal holders may only undertake study which is related to the special program for which their visa was granted. Secondary holders may undertake study on payment of tuition fees and the TAFE NSW fee.

12 Prison inmates holding temporary visas permitting them to study are exempt from payment of tuition fees and the TAFE NSW fee or Concession fee if participating in VET provision covered by the Memorandum of Understanding between TAFE NSW and the Department of Corrective Services. Institute staff should contact the Institute Correctional Centre Liaison Officer (ICCLO) for clarification about the VET provision covered by the Memorandum of Understanding.

13 Holders may only enrol in part-time study.

8 TEMPORARY VISA HOLDERS AUDIT

8.1 TAFE NSW conducts an audit of residency status information provided at enrolment each semester. As a result of the audit, any students identified as not having paid the applicable TAFE NSW fee, concession fee and/or tuition fee will be required to pay these fees. All outstanding fees are to be pursued under the TAFE NSW Outstanding Fees and Student Discipline policies.

8.2 Following a Temporary Visa Holders Audit, any students identified as temporary visa holders who are ineligible to study will be excluded from the course.

9 ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

9.1 Institute Directors are responsible for ensuring Institute compliance with the Temporary Visa Holders Policy- TAFE NSW.

9.2 College Directors/Campus Managers are responsible for the administration of the Temporary Visa Holders Policy - TAFE NSW, including:

9.2.1 nominating a college/campus Temporary Visa Holders Officer

9.2.2 ensuring that the campus conducts an audit of residency status on information provided at enrolment time to confirm students’ eligibility to study and fees payable under this policy

9.2.3 ensuring that staff with responsibilities for the enrolment of temporary visa holders are aware of the requirements of the Temporary Visa Holders Policy - TAFE NSW, the Temporary Visa Holders Mandatory Study Conditions – TAFE NSW and the Temporary Visa Holders Enrolment Procedures and provided with training as appropriate

9.2.4 ensuring that the Temporary Visa Holders Officer assists in the completion of the Supplementary Enrolment Form where applicable

9.2.5 ensuring that temporary visa holders with an eVisa have access to a computer to download their visa details including visa class and sub-class, visa expiry date and visa conditions from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship website Visa Entitlement Verification Online VEVO for eVisa Holders: http://www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/vevo.htm

9.2.6 ensuring that staff do not provide advice regarding immigration matters. Under Commonwealth legislation, TAFE NSW officers may be held liable for advice on immigration matters other than those relating to this policy

9.2.7 ensuring prominent display of information materials outlining student responsibility in truthfully declaring their residency status. This should include a statement that TAFE NSW conducts an audit of residency status

9.2.8 ensuring that information about the Temporary Visa Holders Policy - TAFE NSW, the Temporary Visa Holders Mandatory Study Conditions – TAFE NSW and the Temporary Visa Holders Enrolment Procedures is included in any general information or promotional material distributed for enrolment

9.2.9 ensuring that appropriate risk management procedures are developed and implemented for the provision of commercial programs and services to temporary visa holders

9.2.10 maintaining a database recording exemptions provided. Data maintained should include details of the visa sub-classes exempted and grounds for providing exemptions.

10 TYPES OF VISAS AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

10.1 Permanent resident visas

Permanent resident visas have the word ‘resident’ after the visa class. The sub-class numbers are between 100 and 299 (except 159) and some are in the 800 series.

10.2 New Zealand citizens

New Zealand citizens hold a current New Zealand passport when entering Australia. Some may receive special category entry stamps on arrival, such as the one below.

10.3 Norfolk Islanders

Norfolk Islanders may hold an Australian or New Zealand passport or have a passport containing a Norfolk Island resident stamp.

10.4. Temporary visas

The major types of temporary visas are temporary resident visas, student visas, visitor visas and bridging visas. All visas except bridging visas are known as substantive visas.

10.4.1 Temporary visa sample

A visa may appear as a sticker attached in a passport or may be granted online (eVisa) or electronically (Electronic Travel Authority). The key features for the purpose of the Temporary Visa Holders Policy – TAFE NSW are specified in 4.1.4. The primary visa holder can be shown by the letter “P” in the visa class. A dependant visa holder may be shown by the letter “S”.

10.4.2 Temporary residents

The term temporary resident encompasses a number of visa sub-classes which permit the holders to stay in Australia for purposes including employment, business, study and family matters. The length of time permitted on the visa varies.

10.4.3 Overseas students

An overseas student means a person who holds a student visa. Persons with a visa class “P” on visa sub-class 570, 571, 572, 573, 574, 575 and 576 are overseas students. Overseas students may only be provided with education and training by institutions listed on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). TAFE NSW through the International Students Centre is a registered provider and operates a program for full fee paying overseas students.

10.4.4 Visitor visas

Holders of visitor visas include business visitors, medical treatment visitors and tourists. Visa sub-class numbers are 456, 459, and in the 600 and 900 series (except 995).

10.4.5 Bridging visas

Holders of temporary visas are granted a bridging visa if they have applied to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to change their substantive visa. Bridging visas come into effect when the immediate previous substantive visa has expired and remain in force until a decision has been made by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship as to a holder’s visa status. Bridging visa sub-class numbers are in the range 010 to 099.

10.5 Electronic Travel Authority

An Electronic Travel Authority may be issued instead of a visa for visitors or temporary business residents from certain countries. The Electronic Travel Authority is issued electronically and details of the visa only exist in the Department of Immigration and Citizenship computer records. The holder may have a receipt or separate document issued by Department of Immigration and Citizenship confirming the details of the Electronic Travel Authority as shown below.

10.6 eVisa

An eVisa is a visa that has been electronically granted through the Department of Immigration and Citizenship internet based eVisa system. Holders of an eVisa are able to download or obtain details of their visa from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship’s Visa Entitlement Verification Online – VEVO for eVisa holders: http://www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/vevo.htm
