TASK 1
Request a Recommendation Letteraka “Rec Letter”, “Written Evaluation”
from your Academic Advisor (AA)
When you log in, you will land on
the Student homepage.
To request a rec letter from your
AA, you must complete the
Recommendation Letter Survey
(RLS) and email it to your AA.
This is the 1st step in the
application process, because
without your email attaching the
completed RLS, your AA is not
aware that you have begun the
process and is not prompted to
assist you.
Where do you find the RLS?
In the left margin, select
family connection.
On the family
connection page,
select
document library
In the document
library, select
Recommendation Letter Survey
Under Recommendation Letter Survey
click view.
Save the RLS to your desktop in .doc
format.
Complete the RLS and email it to your
AA requesting a Recommendation
Letter.
In the fall, the AA rec letter requires a
minimum 10 school day turnaround.
In the spring, the rec letter can take
longer.
Be mindful of the application deadlines
for ALL of your colleges.
Applying to college is a 1 semester
senior year task.
