Who is Lucy ?

• Lucy is the basic name of AL 288-1, a few hundred bits of bone fossils speaking to 40 percent of the skeleton of a female of the hominin species Australopithecus afarensis.

• In Ethiopia the get together is otherwise called Dinkinesh, which signifies "you are grand" in the Amharic dialect. Lucy was found in 1974 close to the town Hadar in the Awash Valley of the Afar Triangle in Ethiopia bypaleoanthropologist Donald Johanson.
