Area Cross Country is Friday 21st June at Gosford Racecourse. There will be no PSSA competition on this day due to the Area Cross Country. Mr de Jager is running one more training session for cross country on Thursday morning at 8am on the School Oval.

Today, our Year 5’s began their 4-week Orienteering course. Following the success of the Program in Year 6 last Term, we anticipate that the Year 5’s will get a lot out of this program, funded by sporting schools.

Our school Athletics Carnival is looming on the horizon. This will take place in Week 10. We will be seeking parent volunteers again for back up timekeeping and other jobs, so if you’re free on Monday 1st July to help out, please email me [email protected] .

Enjoy your week,

P&C Report:

Firstly thank you to everyone who volunteered and baked to make our Election Stalls such a success on the weekend, and particularly to our Infants Class Parents who organised us all and to Ula Volwerk for organising our very successful raffle.

It was hard work to have 2 elections so close together and the P&C has really appreciated everyone’s amazing efforts. We raised nearly $7000 on Saturday, taking the combined total from the elections to over $13,000 which is a truly amazing result.

Particular thanks needs to go to our Class Parent Coordinator, Gill Allen who was there at set up and pack up and most of the time in between for both elections.

Ticket sales for our adult social event/fundraiser are now on sale. It’s called Comedy for a Cause and is on Saturday 17th August at 7pm. It should be hilarious so I’d encourage you to book as soon as possible. They’ll be lots of time to chat and its BYO drinks and nibbles. You can book tix here comedyforacause.net/turramurra

Our Term 2 meeting is on tonight – 7.30pm in the Primary School Staff room. We’d love to see as many of you there as possible.
