Bio technology clusterBioTurku is the leading biotechnology centre in Finland and is widely recognised as a national leader. The BioTurku cluster has about 2,400 jobs and more than 100 related companies. Its combined turnover is about EUR 430 million.

Applied ICT clusterThe ICT cluster in the Turku region has more than 7,000 jobs and about 1,200 related companies. Its combined turnover is about EUR 800 million.

Maritime clusterThe marine industry in the Turku region has nearly 8,000 jobs and about 500 related companies. The combined turnover for the whole cluster is about EUR 1.9 billion. The marine industry is the industrial backbone of Turku and all of Southwest Finland.

Logistics clusterThe logistics cluster in the Turku region has about 9,500 jobs linked to logistics service provision and 2,150 related companies. The combined turnover for the whole cluster is about EUR 1.3 billion.

Creative knowledge-intensive clusterThe creative knowledge-intensive services cluster has around 9,500 jobs and 2,000 related companies. The combined turnover for the entire cluster is about EUR 900 million. Turku will be the European Capital of Culture in 2011.
