THE BOTTOM LINE
IMPACT HIGHLIGHTS
Vision: To improve the status of education in Malaysia for a better tomorrow Objective: To impart relevant skills to students that will help them improve their studies and build confidence PROBLEM STATEMENT Malaysia boasts over 5 million primary and secondary school students. Unfortunately, many students lack important problem solving skills crucial for a productive work force. Malaysia ranked 39 out of 44 countries in the problem-‐solving test for 15-‐year olds on the Programme International Students Assessment 2012. As such, efforts are needed to improve skills in critical thinking, problem solving, and higher order thinking for children, if the country expects to produce better education results and a more productive work force. VALUE PROPOSITION To address the educational skills gap in Malaysia, Turbo Charge Learning runs the Turbo Charge Learning School Program. The organization conducts training workshops for students to develop skills in creative, critical, and higher order thinking. Through these activities, students experience positive impact from new learning skills that have lasting benefits in their daily lives. After the trainings, students have shown increased motivation to study and produce better educational test scores. In the long run, students will be better placed to get into good colleges and be gainfully employed.

PROGRAM SCOPE AND MODEL Turbo Charge Learning focuses on students from all economic backgrounds. Currently, for students from disadvantaged communities, the organization offers a variety of learning programs. Turbo Charge prioritizes students from Form 3 (lower secondary) and Form 5 (higher secondary), which both undertake major public exams at the end of their respective academic years. The program trains students to be more critical, resourceful, and creative. The program components emphasize speed reading, note taking, and memorization. In the second half of 2015, Turbo Charge Learning also expects to introduce a program on financial literacy and entrepreneurship geared towards younger students.
