TNC January’s Coffee—What a Success! 39 Members attended and learned about the “Wild Apricot” app
Cheese Balls with Pretzel Sticks Valerie Judkins & Ann Dietert
12 ounces cream cheese, softened 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded 1 tsp garlic 1 tsp paprika Pepper Mix together well and form 35-40 balls. Place on cookie sheet & refrigerate 1-2 hours. Mix 1/3 cup finely chopped pecans 1/2 cup real bacon bits, chopped fine 1/4 cup chopped green chives After balls are refrigerated, roll each in the above mixture and refrigerate again. Just before serving, stick a pretzel stick into each ball.
Fiesta Salad Jackie Wertis
2—15 ounce cans whole kernel corn, drained 1 chopped green pepper 1/2 cup chopped red onion 2 cups grated cheddar cheese 1-1/4 cups mayonnaise 1 bag Fritos Chile Cheese Corn Chips Combine all of the ingredients except the chips. Crush the chips into medium size pieces. Mix 3/4 of the crushed chips into the salad right before serving. Top with remaining chips. Optional: To add more color, substitute 1/4 green, 1/4 red, 1/4 yellow, and 1/4 orange chopped peppers instead of the green pepper.

Friendship Starter and Cake Darlene Spears Day 1: In a 1 gallon container, add 2-1/2 cups sugar and a 16 ounce can sliced peaches, undrained. Cover. Stir every day. Keep on counter and do no refrigerate. Day 10: Add 2 cups sugar and 16 ounces pineapple chunks, undrained. Stir every day. Day 20: Add 2 cups of sugar and 30 ounces fruit cocktail, undrained and 10 ounces maraschino cherries, undrained. Stir every day. Day 30: Drain fruit, reserving liquid. Divide fruit into three portions approximately 1-1/2 cups each to be used in three cakes. Divide liquid into 1-1/2 cup portions and place in air tight containers. Give to friends with a copy of this recipe. It must be used within 5 days. Juice cannot be frozen. For each cake: 1 yellow cake mix 1 small box instant vanilla pudding mix 2/3 cups vegetable oil 4 eggs 1-1/2 cups fruit or 1-1/2 cups liquid from above 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts Mix all together by hand. Bake in a greased and floured Bundt pan at 335° for 50 minutes. Thanks Darlene, this recipe for Friendship cake was a hit and now seeing the recipe, it’s truly a labor of love!

Interest Group Spotlight—Wine Tasting Wine tasting group meets the second Friday of every month . The participants taste and expand their knowledge of wine while having a good time. Couples Pinochle All couples—be it spouses or friends—are welcome to play. Will meet at
6:30 PM, usually on the last Friday of the month at a member’s home, so be sure to contact Jeanne

Lunch on First Thursday (LOFT) Meets at various restaurants at 11:15 AM. RSVP is required to
the hostess of the month.
Wine Tasting Gatherings held on 2nd Friday of the month at 7:00 PM in a member’s home. Cost is
$10 per person for the host to purchase the wine for tasting & discussion. Attendees are asked to
