Tuitubou Lauds Work Of Global Vision by Ministry of Youth and Sports February 26 http://fijisun.com.fj/2015/02/26/tuitubou-lauds-work-of-global-vision/ An international group based at Silana Village in Dawasamu, Tailevu, has scored praises by Government. The Minister for Youth and Sports, Laisenia Tuitubou, commended the community and empowerment activities conducted in Tailevu by members of Global Vision International (GVI). GVI is a non-profitable, non-political, non-religious and non-governmental organisation that has been based in Dawasamu for the past two years. While speaking to members of the community in Dawasamu, Mr Tuitubou said: “It was a pleasure to witness the progress of the youth groups in the area especially in Silana as a direct result of working in partnership with GVI. “The relationship between GVI and Silana youth is a unique one and it is good to see the hard work paying off for all stakeholders in the community.”

    An international group based at Silana Village in Dawasamu, Tailevu, has scored praises byGovernment.

    The Minister for Youth and Sports, Laisenia Tuitubou, commended the community andempowerment activities conducted in Tailevu by members of Global Vision International(GVI).

    GVI is a non-profitable, non-political, non-religious and non-governmental organisation thathas been based in Dawasamu for the past two years.

    Mr Tuitubou said the youth ministry was indebted to such organisations as GVI that arededicated to improving the Fijian way of life at the community level.

    The ministry will see ways and means to support your work to fully benefit the communityespecially the youths, Mr Tuitubou said.

    Many of the GVI group come from Eastern European countries Germany, Austria,Switzerland, Wales, England and Canada. Base manager in Dawasamu, Owen Doel of Walessaid: We signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in2013.

    Today was a great opportunity to show the senior officials from the ministry our projects inDawasamu and also for some of our volunteers to share their experiences with the Minister.

    We are looking forward to partnering with the ministry in the future and in form of trainingand empowerment they want us to carry out for the youths in the area or anywhere in Fiji.
