Medical Equipments

When we looking for the facilities or in specific term of medical equipment, from the

midwives we know that they just have a checklist from the district health clinic for medical

equipment, but there’s no standards for medical equipment that should be found in Maternal and

Child Health Services in our country. Based on what we found in Pasar Minggu District Health

Clinic, the medical equipments are good enough to supported the Antenatal Care (ANC).

Because they have a room with two beds, and they have scales, sphygmomanometers,

immunization kit and they also have pocket fetal Doppler for hearing fetal heart rate, and a

Doppler Ultrasonography maccine. And the things that we need to be considered are about the

quantity and also the quality of those medical equipments. They need more pocket fetal Doppler,

because they just have one. And for the quality, we think that they should pay attention to the

maintenance of it, like a schedule for calibration not just wait until the equipment is broken.
