Viking Explorer’s Club Calling all Leif Eriksons! Did you ever want to be a famous Viking Explorer? Well now you can be. But instead of exploring Greenland, we’ll be exploring our Vikings - sewing machines that is. At our monthly hands on meeting, we will work on a variety of projects as we explore feet, tools and other notions of our Viking sewing machines. Beginning Adult Sewing Classes Sewing is Fun and Therapeutic! Join us in these beginning sewing classes! These classes are designed for those beginner sewers that would like to learn the basics. We will learn how to use a rotary cutter, mat and ruler. You will also learn how to read and understand patterns. Come make a project that will help you explore the basic functions of sewing.

Modern Christmas Quilt This quilt allows you to use 5” squares of your favorite fabrics and showcase them against a plain background. The clever use of sashing adds real interest to the quilt. Summer at the Sea Shore The Second in a series of landscape quilts using the techniques developed by Karen Eckmeiier in her book Accidental Landscapes. Fabric kits will be provided for you to make your own seascape. This will allow you to concentrate on technique and hopefully finish most of your quilt in class. Instructor: Diane Miller FEE: $40 Fri, Aug 25 (10a — 2p) Binding 101 This hands on class will teach you how to put on traditional binding. We’ll also learn wrap-from-the-back mitered corner bindings. This class will even tackle the scary scalloped edge bindings using bias binding! You will learn a quick easy way to make bias binding with the bias binding rulers. Get Your Bling On with Craft N’Cut Software! Have you wanted to learn to use your Craft N’Cut to create layered rhinestones? Well this class is for you. We will be using the software to create the file for our Scan N’Cut. We will then apply rhinestones and add it to an item of our choice! Un-Boxing Your Scan N’Cut Let’s get that Scan N’Cut out of the box and explore some of the fun things we can do with it! In this class we will use the draw function to create our own fabric, use the cut function to cut fabric for appliqué and to create a template for the placement of crystals. This machine is so fun and versatile and this class will get your feet wet in exploring the possibilities of this fabulous machine!
