The gripping strength of spiral wrap tubing is enhanced by bothits torsional cut and its rigid profile. It retains its strength underrepeated flexing and bending and follows wire paths easily, which yields neat, free-running cable bundles. It is extremelyuseful on long continuous runs where many leads are required;wires can enter or break out at any point. Spiral wrap can beremoved easily for troubleshooting and then re-applied.

XPF and XPNF are light weight, self-fitting, monofil-ament sleevings designed to encapsulate and pro-tect cable bundles and wire assemblies. Theseexpandable sleevings adjust to irregular surfaces andcontours, providing abrasion resistance and protec-tion with a minimum of bulk and weight. PolyesterICO-FLEX is available in flame retardant (XPF) ornon-flame retardant polyester monofilament (XPNF).

FIBERGLASS TUBING

SLV-130 combines fiberglass and a vinyl insulation jacket. It has good abrasion resistance, excellent cut throughcharacteristics, and non-fray ends. It is widely used inapplications up to 265°F (130°C) where tubing is subject toknotting, bending, and high torque.

SLV-1200 is a sleeving of tightly braided 100% fiberglassfor use in temperatures up to 1200°F (650°C). Closelywoven construction provides maximum abrasion resistanceand high flexibility. The material is treated to remove allorganic matter and to render the glass braid fray-resistant.

STLSTT

STL is a lightweight, extra thin wall PTFE tubing that pro-vides the performance properties inherent to PTFE at alower cost. The lighter weight material creates a moreflexbile tubing without sacrificing the maximum continuousoperating temperature of 500°F (260°C).

STT is the most popular thin wall PTFE tubing offeringmaximum mechanical and electrical protection. Unlikeother conventional thermoplastic materials, Teflon will notshirink if exposed to a hot soldering iron. In addition,PTFE will not absorb moisture and has the lowest coeffi-cient of friction of all materials.

STS standard wall PTFE tubing is utilized in most militaryapplications. Special extrusion techniques produce a pin-hole-free tubing with uniform concentricity. STS is idealfor applications where heat resistance, excellent dielectricvalues, and chemically inert properties are required.

The heavy wall construction of TTF offers the highestdielectric strength of all ICO RALLY’s PTFE sleeving prod-ucts. TTF is the sleeving product of choice for applica-tions that require an aggressive operating temperaturerange, high dielectric strength, and maximum rigidity.
