NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 15th September, 2021

G.S.R. 632(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 read with section 75 of theDisaster Management Act, 2005 (53 of 2005), the Central Government hereby makes the followingrules further to amend the National Disaster Management Authority (Group 'A' Posts) RecruitmentRules, 2009, namely:-

(1) These rules may be called the National Disaster Management Authority (Group 'A' Posts)Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2021.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the National Disaster Management Authority (Group 'A' Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2009 in theschedule,-

(a) against serial number 1. relating to the post of Advisor (Operations and Communications),-

(A) in Column (11), -

(i) under the heading "Experience",-

(1) under the sub-heading "(a) Essential," for items (i), (ii) & (iii), the following shall besubstituted, namely: -

"(i) fifteen years of experience in operational plan or policy formulation or disastermanagement or conceptualisation, preparation, coordination and management of plans orprojects or Senior level management of Defence Forces or Central Police Organisations orPolice or Telecommunications; and

(ii) knowledge of latest trends and developments in next generation networks orinformation security or data based management control." ;

(II) under the sub-heading" (b) Desirable:" in "Note 1", for the words "not exceed five years"the words, " be initially for five years which may be extended upto seven years on basis ofperformance" shall be substituted;

(B.)in column (12), in "Note 1" after the words "Selection Committee consisting:", for serial numbers1, 2 and 3, the following shall be substituted, namely;-

"1. Vice Chairperson! Member Secretary, Chairman;National Disaster Management Authority

2. Director General, National Disaster ResponseForce

3. Additional Secretary, MHA Member.";(to be nominated by Home Secretary)

(b) against serial numbers 2, 3, 4 and 5 relating to the posts of Joint Advisor (Rehabilitation andRecovery), Joint Advisor (Capacity Building and Training), Joint Advisor (Operations Centre) and JointAdvisor (Communications and Information Technology) in column (11) in "Note 1" for the words "Notexceed five years", the words, "be initially for five years which may be extended upto seven years on basisof performance" shall respectively be substituted.
