Must be a junior or senior enrolled in a college ofagriculture, home economics, or a closely related

major.

Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher (on a 4.0 system).

Should have completed approximately 60 credithours of required course work for the Bachelor's

degree.

Preference given to students presently enrolled atTennessee State University.

Preference given to students with previousexperience in Extension programs or those

considering Extension for employment.

I N T E R N E L I G I B I L I T Y

S T U D E N T R E Q U I R E M E N T S

Must reside in the assigned county orlive within a reasonable commuting

distance.

Must be present at the Orientation.

Must complete the entire internship,Full-time hours at 40/week. Hours must

be flexible.

Must submit a written summary reportat the end of the internship.

Must be present and give an oralpresentation at the Internship

Presentation Day (usually in July at theend of the internship).

L O C A T I O N O F T R A I N I N G

Interns will be assigned to a Tennessee CountyExtension office, We will make every effort to

assign you to your chosen county.

D U R A T I O N O F T R A I N I N G

The internship lasts ten weeks during summerMay 21, 2020 to July 30, 2020.

S T I P E N D

Interns will receive a stipend for the ten week period of $5500.

C O L L E G E C R E D I T

Credit for the internship should becoordinated through the academic unit where

the student is presently enrolled.
