After Spring 2014, the new Texas TSI exam replaces the earlier TSI and other placement exams

College Readiness

• New Freshman and transfers can demonstrate college‐readiness in Math, English, and Reading by1. passing TSI score or retest score2. Exemptions (SAT and ACT are most common)3. Successful completion of developmental course 

(ENG 1300; Math 1300; Read 1300)4. Successful completion of course demonstrating 

college‐ready read (i.e., PSY 1303, HIST 1305, …)5. NCBO completion
