Trumpet TRINITY BAPTIST CHURCH VOLUME 34 • ISSUE 9 SEPTEMBER 2010 In the Beginning... W hen God created the universe He had perfect knowledge and power. His plan was destined for success. As I begin my ministry at Trinity Baptist Church I have great peace knowing that the One who created the universe is with us and we are part of His greater plan. He has given us many good promises as we begin our journey together. He promises to guide us. We have every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm available to us. God has already promised us much fruit if we will rely on Him. We know that nothing can separate us from His love. We know He loves the lost and desires that they come to know Him. His promises guarantee we cannot fail if we are obedient. Practically I’m sure many of you are wondering what’s next for TBC. As Kelly and I are transitioning, I have lots of thoughts, but the plan I feel God desires me to follow at this point is very simple, seek Him. I plan to spend a great amount of time seeking Him and doing the very best job I can to motivate you to do the same. I want to challenge each of you as individuals, families and groups to set aside time daily to ask God for His wisdom and His vision for TBC. Pray for me to have a very clear sense of the direction He desires us to go. As part of hearing what He desires for us, I want to get to know and build relationships with the leaders and members of TBC. I am excited to find out where God is already at work and to know what He desires for our future. As your shepherd, I am committed to taking us where God wants us to go and not necessarily where we want to go. He often desires greater things for us than we have in our minds, and I do not want us to settle for less than His perfect will. My prayer is that God will bless us with a clear sense of direction as we begin our ministry together. I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them. - Isaiah 42:16 NIV Eddie Coakley John 3:30 Trinity’s new web site is online! In the Beginning...When God created the universe He had perfect knowledge

and power. His plan was destined for success. As I begin my ministry at Trinity Baptist Church I have great peace

knowing that the One who created the universe is with us and we are part of His greater plan.

I am excited to fi nd out where Godis already at work and to know what He desires for our future.

- Isaiah 42:16 NIV
