TRUCK – MOUNTED CONCRETE PUMPS
Precision mounting on all chassis types for concrete pumps in the Sirio and Zenith series, in accordance with SERMAC‘stechnical instructions.
The pumping unit utilises a special “S”-valve, whose innovative geometry guarantees great outputs and very low maintenance.It’s the result of years of research and tests under hard working conditions to ensure high flexibility and reliability in every workcondition. The “S”-valve has diameter 8” (S8) to completely satisfy the Customer’s demands in terms of capacity/pressure. All of SERMAC‘s concrete pumps offer the following benefits:
� Open system hydraulic circuit � Concrete “S”-valve made from anti-wear fusion material � Pumping unit has automatic lubrication system fitted on high
usage points� Chrome-lined concrete cylinders to ensure high resistance� Automatic compensation system between ring and wear plate� Easy-to-replace wear parts� Automatic sequence on hydraulic cylinders and anti-shock system on inversion valve
� Full range of booms available including lowest-unfold height � Excellent performance, reliability and low operating costs
The quality of the antiwear materials used when manufacturing the pumping unit ensureswear components are long lasting, decreasing warranty and maintenance costs.
The pumping groups are available in different models with concrete output from 130m3/h to 185 m3/h and total concrete pressures from 61 to 76 bar (SCL130A,SCL150AHP, SCL185A). On request, it’s possible to have intermediate or superior concrete output and pressure.
- THE HOPPER: excellent geometry for concrete pumping
The hopper is made of anti wear steel. It has a grate and is equipped with an electric vibra-tor; the large capacity of the hopper and the agitator couples to facilitate difficult work withlow slump concretes. The excellent mix between the agitator and the hopper (shaft provided with bolt-onblades) avoids any stagnation of concrete ensuring maximum efficiency during the pump-ing and making it easier to clean.

All boom movements are controlled through a proportional distributor that enables the smoothest movement to beobtained. The pumping function is controlled through an electro-hydraulic distributor.
- RADIO AND REMOTE EQUIPMENT: total control
All boom and pump functions are managed by a proportional radio remote control withdouble speed boom movement, free frequency automatic research, concrete charge vari-ation, r.p.m. control, start up and emergency stop. The standard equipment includes emer-gency proportional remote control with serial cable to be used in the event of radio inter-ferences or receiver switchboard radio failure.
All the controls are made in accordance with the 17 may 2006 Directive 2006/42/CE andthe health and security disposals of the UNI EN 2001.
The power source that drives the pump always comes from the truck engine through a transfer box. All hydraulic pumps are supplied withpower through a drive shaft from the gear box via a chassis-mounted transfer box or alternatively by taking power via a direct drive PTO.
SERMAC offers a complete range of concrete pumps with booms from 21 m (4 sections) to 65 m (6 sections) height, several foldconfigurations in “Z” and “ZR” (series Zenith) or “R”, “RZ” or “TR” (series Sirio). The placing booms are the result of great experiencecoupled with accurate manufacturing technology that utilises the most recent design control systems (Finite Element Method). Our booms have high-yield point heads welded to sections and hinges with double support pins, ranking them among the safestand most reliable on the market.SERMAC unloading booms are available in the following folding types:
� “Z” folding: is ideal for work in confined spaces where maximum manoeuvrability is required. This type of fold enables the2nd section to be used even if the boom is not fully open
� “R” folding: is ideal for working at height in open spaces where there is a requirement for long distance coverage.
� “RZ” folding: combines the benefits of “R” and “Z” fold andis ideal for long reaches where large outputs are required.It enables the boom to open in a small amount of spaceand for concrete to be pumped over long distances.
� “ZR” folding: combines the benefits of “Z” and “R” fold andis ideal for use in built-up areas where easy placing andmaximum versatility are required
The pipeline boom can be supplied in extremely resistantanti-wear material with normal wall or in twin-wall with hard-ened core (on request) with standard Ø 125 mm. (or Ø 100mm. for the 5Z35 model) and terminal rubber hose (withoutring) supplied with security chain. Our equipment can pumpconcrete till slump 1’ (k1) and max size 50 mm (with Ø 125mm pipeline).

INNOVATION FOLLOWING TRADITION
The pumping unit stabilizers are hydraulically operated using two distributors placed on both sides of machine to ensuresafe use. The lifting jacks are fitted with check valves, which hold the cylinders in position even if there is a hydraulic pipefailure. The types of stabilizers available are:
� Front “X” opening and rear fixed: ideal for small booms with “Z” and“ZR” folding. Allows the pump to be set up very quickly in an area wherespace is particularly restricted. The rear outriggers are vertical or obliquetake off.
� Front “X” opening and rear transversal slide: excellent stabilization sys-tem which guarantees a high functionality combined with a high stabilityin every work position. Used especially with middle-range booms foldtypes “R” and “Z”. The rear outriggers have a vertical take off and simplesliding.
� Front “X” outriggers with double/triple telescopic opening and rearswing opening: excellent stabilization providing placing boom with a highdegree of torsional rigidity. Ideal with medium-high boom fold types “R”,“Z” and “RZ”. Depending on the boom length the sliding could be 2 or 3telescopic stages. The rear arms are a fixed length.
� Front and rear swing opening: traditional stabilization system which pro-vides excellent functionality and a high stability in every work position. Usedwith middle-high booms with “R” and “TR” folding. The front outriggersinclude a telescopic stage while the rear arms are a fixed length.
� Front adjustable at triple telescopic “X” opening, and rear arms fixedlength: latest generation stabilization system for large pumps which pro-vides excellent functionality combined with a high stability in every workposition. Used on very high “RZ” folding booms. The front stabilisers canbe adjusted by 44° and includes 3 telescopic stages, while the rear armsare a fixed length. This allows the pump to be set up in a small amountof space.

Excellent assembly of Twinstar truck mixers pump on every chassis type on sale, in accordance with SERMAC technical instructions.
All of SERMAC‘s truck mixer pumps offer the following benefits:
� Open system hydraulic circuit.� Pumping group its own automatic greasing system.� Distribution chamber made in anti-wear steel and optimal shape to avoid concrete stagnations.� “S”-valve made by anti-wear fusion with different thickness.� Exclusive and patented “Twin-Ring”® system fitted between “S”-valve and concrete cylinders covered whit high
resistance and great thickness: it warranty the maximum efficacy and performance over the years thanks to skill tocompensate automatically both elastic deformation and wear. Hydraulic command at automatic positive sequence.
� The conveying cylinders are lubricated through a high dimension water chamber, which provides the necessary spaceto quickly change over the conveying pistons.
� The hydraulic pumps combination are mounted on a transfer-shift gear driver by the engine PTO provided by the shuttlecock of the engine (also available is the traditional PTO system on transmission gear and drive shaft engine).
The hopper (450 l) is made of anti wear steel provided with grate equipped withelectric vibrator; the large capacity of the hopper and the agitator facilitates dif-ficult work with low slump concretes. The excellent mix between the conveyancetank and the hopper (shaft provided with bolt blades) avoids any stagnation ofconcrete ensuring maximum efficiency during pumping and making it easier toclean. The hopper is fitted with and an emergency stop button for the mixer.
The boom and pump are controlled through a proportional system distributor and alltheir functions are managed by a proportional radio-remote control with a variableregulation of the concrete output. In addition, a standard remote control with wan-dering lead is supplied in case of poor radio reception.
Designed and manufactured by SERMAC, the placing booms are the result of greatexperience coupled with accurate manufacturing technology that utilises the mostrecent design control system (Finite Element Method). Our booms have high-yieldpoint heads that are welded to sections and hinges with double support pin, rank-ing them among the safest and most reliable on the market. They are available inthe following models: 3Z24 (3 sections, 24 m high), 4Z28 (4 sections, 28 m high)and the new one 4Z33 (4 sections, 33 m high).

The standard concrete pipeline is Ø 100 mm (4”) in high-wear steel with manganese steel bends, to guarantee optimum out-put levels. For the new 4Z33 the pipeline is available with Ø 112,5 mm (4½”) or standard 4”. On request, SERMAC can sup-ply concrete pipelines Ø 125 mm (5”) on the 1st and 2nd section for model 4Z28.
The stabilisers are hydraulically controlled by two distributors placed on both the sides toensure complete safety while in the pump is in action. The uplift cylinders assure grantstability, provided with hydraulic block valves:� 3Z24 - Front open sliding and rear fixed: compact and agile stabilization which allows
speed placement in small or hard to access areas. It is used with 3Z24 size booms. � 4Z28 and 4Z33 - Front and rear open sliding: steady and sure, it allows quick placement
in small difficult to reach work areas. It is used with 4Z28 and 4Z33 size booms.

Star series 8” and Star series 6” offer the best solutions for great versatile pump-ing of any type of concrete, either horizontally or vertically, for civil projects, galleries,nuclear centrals, skyscrapers, pumping of industrial mud, and much more.� Series 8”: the available motor power reaches 175 kW (diesel motor), and it can
carry concrete charges till 124 m3/h and pumping pressures till 171 bar.� Series 6”: the available motor power reaches 75 kW (diesel motor), and it can
carry concrete charges till 60 m3/h and pumping pressures till 130 bar.The pumps are excellent for work with any type of concrete. The top quality anti-wearmaterials used for the construction of the pumping unit ensures long life and mini-mal maintenance costs.
The hydraulic system is made of an open circuit with auto compensating sequence between the ring and the wear plate, whichensures high performance and reliability in every work condition.The “S”-valve of the pumping unit has an excellent geometry which facilitates consistent concrete charges pumping both atheight and at distance with minimal load leaks; these results have been gained through continuous research, testing themachines on site in extremely difficult working conditions.

MAIN FEATURES:SERMAC‘s range of stationary placing booms, the BS series with 4section “R” fold, were derived from the placing booms used on Siriotruck-mounted concrete pumps.As standard, this equipment has a 1st section “divided” boom toensure fast assembly on the job-site with rapid connections to con-nect hydraulic flexible hoses. The booms are available with or withoutcounterbalance in accordance with the job-site requirements and aresupplied with the following :
� Joint for continuous turret rotation.� Speed joint of the under turret group to the bearing structure (turret or frame work column) with four fixing pivots which can
be disassembled and two fix centring pivots.� Concrete pipeline Ø 125 mm (5”).� Rubber end hose, length 4 m.� Proportional radio remote control for the boom activation and proportional emergency radio remote control with maximum
branching cable length 30 m.� Climbing tower electro-hydraulic gear case with electric motor three phase (15 kW) utilizable by power 380V – 415V – 440V.� Automatic anchoring system (mechanic) of 2nd section on 1st section.� Working platform on 1st section for assembling and maintenance.
� Fixed base with log bolts� Twin-wall concrete pipeline with tempered core.
In particular, the BS28 and BS33 1st part is made up of two removable pieces linked by two pivots and two bolts for a speedassembly in the construction site; the first part of the section is linked to the rotation system (turret and under turret), while thesecond one is assembled with the other sections (boom module). It can contain module weights under 5.000 kg.Moreover, an opposite boom loaded with ballast decreases the turning over movement which burdens on the boom supportstructure; the ballast blocks can be directly supplied by SERMAC or by the customer. On the 1st section and on the oppositeboom there are boards for the assembly and the secure placement of the boom module and counterbalances.

The range of stationary boom bearing structures is the following:
� Assembly on auto rampant column: standard box plate column with square sections fixed with bolts on the moving base loadedwith ballasts.
� Assembly on fix base: column assembled on a plinth loaded with ballast fixed to the soil with log bolts.� Assembly on reticular column: with a crane column internal or external to the construction (not directly supplied by SERMAC).
If this assembly type is chosen, SERMAC will design and make an interface and adaptation.
The SERMAC plate box column with squared section is 16 metres high: it is made up of two sections which can be easilymounted (length 10 m + 6 m), with tubes Ø 125 mm (5”) external to the column. The Inferior module (length 10 m), has fit inand sliding function while the superior one (length 6 m) has a liking function with the boom provided with landing on the1st section for the assembly and maintenance.The union between the two parts is made with bolt coupling while the high extremity ends with four pivots which link theunder turret of the boom. The hooks on the same extremity are arranged for the working platform assembly and for thehydraulic switchboard. Both the modules are preassembled, complete with concrete tubes (on demand double-walledtubes), little ladder and lift up clevis.
Technical characteristics and use mode:
� Placement in lift space or in openings on the slabs with anchorage on two levels. The slinging and support systembetween the slabs is made up of three kits. Every kit includes a removable collar provided with sliding blocks in plasticmaterial with blocking wedges, which can be placed in openings made on the structure during the construction phase.
� Lift System with two hydraulic cylinders (controlled by a push button panel) which operate on the sling kits and onthe lift up pivots. The cylinders are hydraulically linked with flexible tubes with fast clutches to the hydraulic boom switch-board controlled by an on-off push button panel.

The column can be mounted on a ballast base branched to the soil with spe-cial pivots, whose dimensions change according to the chosen model. It isassembled on site for the tower mounting. As an alternative, the boom will beassembled on a specific base with counter balance made and supplied by thecustomer following SERMAC technical specifications in accordance with theInternational Security Norms.
Fixed Base Column
The BS stationary booms can also be mounted on a crane framework column made and/or supplied by the customerin respect of the SERMAC technical specifications in accordance with the International Security Norms. In particular,the equipment weights and charges will be communicated to the Client for the choice of the most suitable frameworkcolumn.SERMAC will define and make the connection interface following the specific applications, the interface for the underturret group and the extremity of the crane column and the switchboard and the gallery.

� Chassis in high yield point steel quality, box beams made by compound welded steel plates, complete with rails for the boomtranslation and stabilizers.
� The modular concept composed of 2 independent axles whit permanent hydraulic integral transmission 4-wheel steering.� Max speed of 20 km/h, gas pedal and hydraulic service brake.� Wheels suitable for quarry and yards.� Driver’s cabin seat and control panel safety by tubular steel.� Hydrostatic drive 4x4 whit mechanical or hydraulic gearbox, hydraulic steering
whit 3 different operation: front only, front and rear opposite side, front andrear concordant side.
� Dimmer by the torque.� IVECO™ turbo engine, 4 cylinders, 111 HP of 70 kW. Engine cooled by liquid,
permit to avoid the heat exchanger and avoid the accumulate of concrete’sdusts and additives. The engine is calibrate whit the regime of rotation that,during the pumping, is silent and warranty very low consumption. Thanks tohydraulic integral coupler, the operations could do made by electric or dieselengine, as needs in job-site.
