The Tropical Rainforest

equator.
Location
In an average year in a tropical rain forest the climate is very humid because of all the rainfall.
Rain amounts to about 250 cm per year. The rain forest has lots of rain because it is
very hot and wet. This climate is found near the equator. 50 % of the precipitation comes from its own
evaporation.The average temperature of a rain forest is
about 77° Fahrenheit.
Climate
Howler Monkey- The loudest land animal.Sloth- Eats leaves off trees and sleeps for 23
hours per day.Frilled Lizard- They scare away animals with
their frill.Piranha- Stay in groups and hunt bleeding
animals and fish.Keeled Billed Toucan- It will hide or fly away
from larger prey.

Lianas- Grow roots in the ground and grow vines to climb trees to reach the top of the rainforest.
Mangroves- Grow roots out of the ground to get more water. They mostly grow in the water.
Epiphytes- Grow on trees so they can take advantage of the sunlight on the top of the rainforest.
Bengal Bamboo- Grow large roots that collect water and allow them to reproduce very fast.
Coconut Tree- Its fruit has a fibrous layer which helps it to float on water and get dispersed to far off places.
