2022 SPRING CONCERT AUDITION ETUDES TROMBONE (TENOR AND BASS)

INSTRUCTIONS

Play a two-octave F Major scale and a full-range chromatic scale (performed from lowest note you can comfortably play to highest note you can comfortably play and back down).

Choose AT LEAST one etude that best fits your ability. o If you would like to be considered for more advanced ensembles, you should perform TWO etudes. o For consideration for the Wind Ensemble or Philharmonic Orchestra, you MUST play Etudes 2 and 3.

Sight-read a brief exercise provided by the director.

BASS TROMBONES: Your audition for ALL concert ensembles (regardless of level) will consist of the aforementioned scales, Etude One, the Bass Trombone Etude, and sight-reading.
