Triton Submarines LLC is part

of the U.S. Submarine Group of

companies. In addition to Tritons,

the group builds larger luxury sub-

marines for yacht-based operations

that carry 4-, 6- and 10-passengers

(http://ussubs.com) as well as large

diesel electric luxury submarines and

tourist submarines. The group is also

building the world’s first undersea

resort in Fiji (http://poseidonresorts.

com) and has formed a new com-

pany engaged in building sea floor

residences and commercial buildings

Triton Submarines LLC is a subsidiary of U.S. Submarines, Inc., and was formed to build and market the world’s most advanced small submersibles.

The single most important criterion in selecting a submarine is that it must be

certified by a known classification agency, preferably ABS as they have the most

experience in regulating submarine design and construction. We tell our clients

that “when the paperwork weighs as much as the submarine, the project is done.”

An exaggeration, but securing classification is expensive and time consuming.

The Triton 1000/2: two occupants to 1000 feet (305 m).

The Triton 3300/2: two occupants to 3280 feet (1000 m).

The Triton 1000/3: three occupants to 1000 feet (305 m).

The Triton 3300/3: three occupants to 3280 feet (1000 m).

ABS classed submarines

and submersibles have a

perfect safety record and

are statistically the safest

form of transportation in

the world today. Tens of

millions of passen-

gers have been carried

aboard ABS classed

submarines without a

single serious injury

or fatality.

Triton Submarines are subject to the world’s most stringent safety testing

Page 4: Triton e Brochure

While you will find comfort in our perfect

safety record, you will be perfectly

comfortable with ergonomic

Triton design and layout.

The fully air conditioned passenger compartment of the Triton

remains at surface pressure irrespective of diving depth,

so the occupants experience no pressure change.

The fully upright seating is comfortable for hours

on end and the incredible viewing from the

transparent acrylic sphere has no equal.

Safety & Comfort Safe, secure and extremely comfortable:

“It’s nearly impossible to describe just how awe-inspiring the Triton is and how glorious it was to comfortably enjoy being so deep below the surface. I experienced marine life in a way I never could have otherwise. The only problem is now I’m spoiled – scuba seems so mundane!”

Riki Altman, Journalist

In 2008, Triton Submarines LLC

unveiled the world’s first civilian

submersible simulator. The Triton

simulator allows our clients an

unprecedented opportunity to pilot

their submersible on literally dozens

of dives before they ever take deliv-

ery of the real thing. In the simulator,

we teach our clients and/or their

representatives normal and emer-

gency operating procedures and

everything else they need to become

accomplished and safe submersible

pilots. We also offer periodic recur-

rency training in the simulator and

the client’s submersible. Our com-

mitment to safety and the need for

thorough and on-going training is

unparalleled in the industry. No other

submersible manufacturer has ever

made a more serious commitment

to training than Triton Submarines

has by investing in the technology

necessary to create the world’s first

manned submersible simulator..

Page 5: Triton e Brochure

With over 300 years combined submersible experience – our engineering depth is clearly superior.

The new standard of engineering excellence in luxury submarines:

The Triton 3300/3 is the most versatile Triton that has been designed

to date. It can take a pilot and two passengers in absolute safety and

comfort to an amazing 3280 feet (1000 m).

The 3300/3’s pressure hull is the largest acrylic sphere ever made for a manned submersible.

The main balast tanks provide superior freeboard and stablity, making boarding while on the surface safer and easier.

Large 550mm acess hatch allows easy entry when boarding from yacht or surface tender.

The 3300/3 is powered entirely by two large battery banks.

Two main thrustars and two vertran thrusters enable the Triton 3300/3 to move in any direction at the touch of a joystick.

Building on the success of the Triton 1000/2, the world’s only luxury deep submersible designed specifically for yacht based use, Triton Submarines LLC has intro-duced a new model, the Triton 3300/3, an ABS classed, air conditioned luxury deep submersible that will carry three people to depths of 1000 meters in perfect one-atmosphere comfort and absolute safety.

In October Triton Submarines will begin building a series of five of the new Triton 1000/3s that will dive to 305 meters with 3-passen-gers. The Tritons will be used by a single commercial operation in the South Pacific.

Stunning new styling leaves no doubt that you are piloting the sexiest, most contemporary deep submersible in the world. This Triton offers you an unprecedented opportunity to show friends and family the ocean world.

Dive on wrecks, both ancient and contemporary, explore the myriad strange denizens of the

Stygian deep or laugh in wonder at the antics of the brilliant fish that inhabit

the tropical coral reef. A magic ocean world awaits you.

Triton’s styling is on par with that of a fine Italian sports car. Form follows function, indeed.

Beauty that is more than skin deep…

Experience the competition… then buy a Triton

Triton Submarines has collected the finest, most experienced talent in the civil subma-rine business. Each member of the full time management and staff at the company av-erages 26.7 years of dedicated civil subma-rine and submersible experience. Including part time staff the group collectively repre-sents more than 331 years of experience. No competitor even remotely approaches this level of expertise. The Triton’s incred-ible level of competitive superiority is based on the tremendous operations experience of the staff. We know what works in the subsea environment because, more than any group in the world, we’ve been there. We’ve spent thousands of hours piloting more than 80 different civil submarines and submersibles. In addition, our Engi-neering Manager was in charge of design review at the American Bureau of Shipping for over 25 different submersibles.

Freeboard is one of the many important features of a manned

submersible. Being able to safely and easily board the sub while

on the surface is critical.

Beyond Comparison Take a close look at the features of our

submersible and compare us to the competition. You will see that

there is no comparison.

The chart below compares the significant submersible features of the competition with the Triton 3300/3

How valuable is your life and the

lives of your loved ones? At Triton

Submarines we spare no expense

to build the safest civil submarines

in the world to the most rigorous

ABS standards.

The most advanced personal submersible in the world today

MINIMUM WEIGHT, VOLUME & FOOTPRINT Deck space is at a premium aboard a yacht and the

Triton’s compact design is only 10 feet LOA, less than half of most competitor’s submersibles. This means the sub stows easily and is significantly easier to launch and recover.

TRANSPARENT PASSENGER COMPARTMENT The main reason for owning a submersible is to experi-

ence the incredible diversity of the ocean world and to do that you have to be able to see out of the sub effectively. The Triton’s totally transparent passenger compartment provides unsurpassed viewing for the occupants.

SUPERIOR SURFACE STABILITY & FREEBOARD The catamaran configuration of the Triton results in un-

equalled surface stability making it easy for the occu-pants to get in and out of the sub while it is in the wa-ter. The top mounted entrance hatch provides more freeboard (distance from waterline to the hatch) than any other small submersible. The combination of su-face stability and freeboard represent the single most important safety factor in submersible operations.

SIMPLE LAUNCH & RECOVERY REQUIREMENTS Unlike many submarines where the hatch cannot be

opened with the sub in the water and the occupants have to be loaded into the sub on deck, the Triton can be entered in the water, from the yacht, a ten-der, or even a jet ski. The Triton does not require an expensive, elaborate, man rated launch and recovery system, making it far more cost effective to own and operate.

UNSURPASSED FORWARD/DOWNWARD VISIBILITY When you are cruising in a submersible underwater

the best view is forward and down. No sub in the world gives you better viewing and gets you closer to the reef in front and the sea floor below.

DIGITAL TOUCH SCREEN CONTROL & MONITORING A highly sophisticated and proprietary digital touch

screen control, navigation and monitoring system makes Triton uniquely easy to operate and reduces pilot workload. Embedded checklists, automated alarms and an advanced autopilot system improves safety as well.

Base prices for the Triton series not including optional equipment:

Triton 1000/2: $1.7 million

Triton 1000/3: $2.49 million

Triton 3300/2: $2.59 million

Triton 3300/3: $2.99 million

Page 10: Triton e Brochure

THREE AXIS JOYSTICK CONTROLS Digital proportional joystick control coupled to thrusters that move

the sub in all three axes provides for unsurpassed intuitive maneu-

verability.

INDUSTRY’S MOST ADVANCED TRAINING & SUPPORT Triton is the only sub company that has invested in a deep sub-

mersible pilot simulator for customer familiarization and pilot train-

ing. Every owner is contractually obligated to have an operator

successfully complete our in-house pilot and maintenance training

program which sets the industry standard for effectiveness. Cus-

tomer support is also available 24/7.

OPERATIONS & DESIGN EXPERIENCE The Triton designers and operations senior staff are the most

experienced civil sub experts in the world. Patrick Lahey,

Triton’s president, is the most experienced civil sub pilot ac-

tive in the world today. Our far reaching experience means we

have seen the effective design and operations solutions in many

environments and this results in our ability to engineer the world’s

best submersibles.
