ABC PROMISE PARTNERSHIP: “A BENCH FOR CAPS”

The Wednesday afternoon Kids’ Street program has started an ongoing recycling partnership with the Green Tree Plastics Company in Evansville, IN. The children will learn about recycling this year and the company will turn the children’s collected bottle caps into a colorful picnic table. Please join us in this exciting project by donating bottle caps. The blue collection container is downstairs on the way to the Fellowship Hall. Please place ONLY bottle caps in it! Please see the bulletin board by the drinking fountain or look downstairs for a take home list of acceptable caps and lids.

Thanks for your support, Shirley Buckalew and Debbie Muldoon.

CHURCH NEWS

NEW ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS

The class entitled: “Appreciating the Talents of The Body of Christ” starts TODAY in the Chapel and lasts for seven weeks. It will be led by Nancy Brinker, and the only thing you need to bring is a Bible.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

There will be a re-scheduled Christian Education meeting tomorrow, February 29th at 6:00 p.m. in the Office Conference Room.

UNITED METHODIST MEN

Trinity United Methodist Men will host breakfast with Dr. Nancy, Saturday morning, MARCH 5, at 9 a.m. in our FELLOWSHIP HALL, with a “scrumptious” and nutritious meal, followed by some GREAT information on coping with and ENJOYING the “process of aging.” Since this affects ALL of us, we are sure there will be “something to hit home.” We have been asked to have a get together “in the MORNING” in order to accommodate some our “younger” men--so THIS Saturday, March 5th IS IT. HOPE TO SEE YOU then!!

PICTORIAL DIRECTORIES

They have arrived! Every individual and family who had their picture taken is entitled to one free pictorial directory. Most can be found in your hallway mailboxes. Additional directories, or copies for those who do not have their picture in the directory, are available for a $5 donation from the office, Gale Waun or Debi Lobb. More copies can be ordered if we run out. Please see either Gale or Debi if you do not have a church mailbox and are entitled to a directory.

INCLEMENT WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY

The Church Office will close, with ALL other activities and meetings being cancelled,

whenever the Lapeer Community Schools are closed due to inclement weather (such as

extreme cold, snow and ice). The policy includes weekday evening Worship Services.

VOLUNTEERS!

Adults are needed to teach Sunday School for Senior High one Sunday, or maybe a month, at a time. Please contact Creg June (810-730-4804) if you are willing to help share the Word of God with our youth.

NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We are in need of some baby holders and book readers. We have two spots available in the Nursery: 1st Sunday of the month, 1st service and 4th Sunday of the month, 2nd service. Please contact Ann June (810-656-1636) if you would like to help in the Nursery.

INVITATION

Nancy Lagalski turns 80 years old! Please join us for a Birthday Open House

in the North Parlor, Saturday, March 12, 1:30-4:30pm. Her family will be

hosting and we invite everyone to come wish Nancy many more years of health

and happiness. What a wonderful life to celebrate!

STUDENT GRANTS

Trinity again invites any high school senior and continuing college student to apply for a Student Grant for college (2 or 4 years). Applications are due April 1st. This one year grant amount may vary based on money available. Applicants may be church members or involved in church activities. (NOTE: The Student Grants Committee invites church members to donate to support this fund, so every applicant can be helped. Please consider putting a bequest in your will or trust.)

THANK YOU

Dale and Diane would like to say thank you to all those who prayed for Diane’s brother, Bob. Bob did pass away this last Saturday, but the prayers brought much comfort to the family.
