Dear Parish Family:

The Diocese of Harrisburg, in alignment with local, state, and federal guidelines, has updated COVID-19 mitigation requirements and practices. At Good Shepherd, we begin to make those changes this weekend with further implementation by July 1, 2021. Some things will take sometime to regroup and need a little time to restart them well. We have made every effort to make all feel welcome, comfortable and safe. Please note the following:

PRESENTATION OF THE GIFTS OF BREAD AND WINE May 29, 2021: The gifts will continue to be at the altar already. July 1, 2021: The gifts will be presented by the faithful.

HYMNALS May 29, 2021: We will continue to use the projection as hymnals are staged are returned to the pews. July 1, 2021: Hymnals will be used. The texts of the readings and hymns will also be printed in the bulletin.

C O M P A I G N Formerly known as the Lenten Appeal

Each year, the Diocese assigns every parish its financial share of the care of the larger Church to support diocesan ministries, programing and outreach. This figure is determined by looking at the parish’s size and income.

Good Shepherd 2021 DAC Assessment: $178,162.00 Given/Pledged as of May 11, 2021: $113,479.11 Still Need: $64,682.89

Thank you to every one who has given/pledged so far! Please remember that Good Shepherd is responsible for this amount, no matter what. Otherwise it is added to our debt and we must pay it back with interest. This happened in 2019 and 2020. Please consider how you can help us meet this responsibility.
