Our Pastors will never request your help or financial assistance via e-mail or text. Be aware of hoaxes being perpetuated in which religious leaders are falsely being represented as
requesting aid, contributions from or “discreet discussions” with parishioners. Do NOT respond to such requests!
The Trinity family extends prayers for peace and comfort to Angela Smith and her family at
the death of her grandmother, Arlene Schmietz on Thursday morning. Angela is one of the
members of Trinity’s Daycare staff.
Watch For the Return of Prayers For the World
Beginning September 11, 2020, the Trinity Lutheran/Pacific Lutheran University-sponsored PRAYERS FOR THE WORLD Friday morning devotionals will resume. Instead of being held at the PLU campus, the gatherings will be held via Zoom. We’ll soon provide the link to the event; plan on attending this inspiring experience.
The Food Pantry needs empty egg cartons for repackaging eggs received
in bulk. Please bring to the Food Pantry area or to the church offices.
Thank you!
Return of Connect
Beginning September 13, 2020 at 12:30 pm, the Trinity Lutheran/Pacific Lutheran University-sponsored youth program CONNECT will resume. Instead of being held at the Hovd House, the gatherings will be held via Zoom. These sessions will be led by Kiah Miller, a member of our Trinity community and junior at PLU!” We look for her to bring excitement to the youth in this new way of “connecting”. We’ll soon provide the link to the event; plan on participating!
A Special “Thank You”
News from the Food Pantry:
The Home Delivery Program has launched with exclamations like; “This is such a blessing”, Everything has been spectacular”, “I am disabled and have had to rely on friends for transpor-tation”, “Thank you for working with my dietary restrictions”, "It is too expensive for me to follow the renal diet so any leafy greens and fresh vegetables would be so helpful and appre-ciated" and one of our neighbors even baked bread for her delivery driver! Trinity is currently serving nine households… a number that enables us to really work with individual household needs. The initial goal will be twenty households until there are more volunteer drivers.
August Usage: 324 households! We are still experiencing an increase of approximately fifty-
five percent (55%) since March.
Nutrition and Health: In reviewing and revising products provided by the food pantry, the
nutritional level is of highest priority. Thus, milk, eggs, peanut butter and meat are now
regular offerings for households.
Pumpkins peeking out at Trinity’s Garden of Edible Grace. Do stop by for a peaceful stroll!
Future plans include expanding the number of raise garden beds and the possibility of a hoop
house to extend the growing season.
