in 1992 with a Mission to increase awareness and protection of the world’s documentary heritage, and achieve its universal and permanent accessibility.

the MOW programme established a framework of international, regional and national registers to list documentary heritage, and committees to maintain and promote these registers.

established a national Memory of the Word Committee in 2007 to maintain Trinidad & Tobago’s national and international efforts in this Programme.

will help the government and citizens of Trinidad and Tobago become aware of the documentary heritage held by various organizations and private individuals, and the need to ensure our nation’s endangered heritage is protected.
