Every new business starts with an idea. Ideas can be unique to the one who possess it but many a business has been started from the modification of existing business ideas. Your idea is the most im-portant seed for your business and one must seek out to guard your idea and protect it.

A business idea, though birthed in your mind and heart, can be easily stolen, copied or modified. Having a business idea does not give you ownership of a business but it is only when this idea is de-veloped and your business started can you give claim to the business.

The development of your business idea is an essential step. Having a unique idea does not guaran-tee that your business will be successful. The idea is merely a seed and you need to nurture it to a stage where it can morph into a successful business. Developing a successful business idea will in-volve the following steps:
