We are people who practice, research or educate in the field of information architecture within an European

context.

We define Europe as a geographical, historical, political, social, and cultural entity, north of Africa, east of the

Americas and west of Asia.

We share the mutual identity and value system with people living and working in Europe, because of our

historical, political, social, and cultural similarities and despite of the same differences - as we all consider the transfer of information, knowledge and wisdom as the

backbone of our civilization.

We intend to facilitate, nurture and further develop the continuous and free exchange of information across all

boundaries in Europe, as well as in the rest of the world.

We respect and value the local, regional, national and international communities of information architecture

and related fields.

We cherish freedom of speech and access to free, non-censored information, as we submit ourselves to all national, European and international laws and fully

underwrite the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

We contribute to the European dimension of information architecture in theory, practice, research
