Workers ConditionsThey worked on the 9th and 10th floor ONLY!

These workers worked 7 days a week 14 hour shifts.

No breaks for drinks, food, or bathroom breaks. Not even if they had one bad cut.

The owner didn’t want clothes to be stolen so he locked the doors. ( No way out)

These people were immigrants (Jews, and many people from Italy)

Pay was $2.00 a day.

14 hr. day

They got tired of there pay and hours.

They went on strike.

They got beat for being on strike from owners workers.

Results

Owner finally agree to higher wages.

And shorten days… ( No work Sundays!)

On March 25th 1911

8hr. Day (with no work Sunday)

This building set on fire!

A cigarette started all this…

On the 10th floor…

This cigarette was thrown in a bin full of cloths…

•This is what happen… •Many jumped out.•Many burned to death.!•The fire many children were coming out…•They were all trap •148 women and men died(mainly women)

After Fire!

The people that jumped out to try and save there life's…

They died anyways!

After the fire many people started being against child labor!

People paid more attention to children labor …

Even now children labor is still around!

Children labor is a world wide problem before this fire!
