Can a butterfly go back into a cocoon after it’s come out as a caterpillar? It can’t hap- pen. Once the caterpillar becomes a butterfly, it is what it is — a butterfly. When you become a believer, you’re like that butterfly — you come out of your cocoon. It may take you some time to fly spiritually, but once you become a new creation in Christ, you are what you are. You are a new creation. “Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgot- ten, and everything is new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Believers begin a new life when they are born again by the Spirit (1 Peter 1:3 ). Re- generation places believers on the road of faith whereby they be- come new creations (2 Cor 5:17 ) and enjoy a new life in Christ (Rom 6:4 ). In spite of that reality, believers wrestle with the old na- ture and old self. They must seek to put on the new self (Eph 4:24 ) and to follow the new commandment of Christ (1 John 2:8 ). The gift of new life was foretold by the prophets in the Old Testa- ment. Ezekiel prophesied the gift of a new heart and a new spirit (Eze 36:26 ). Jeremiah told of a new covenant (Jer 31:31 ). Isaiah spoke of a new name (Isa 62:2 ). The new age promised by the prophets came in Jesus Christ, the new Adam. Yet that which is presently realized by believers is only a foretaste of that which is yet to come in fullness. The apocalyptic Book of Revelation tells us that God will make everything new (21:5 ). He will create a new heaven and new earth (21:1 ), a new Jerusalem (3:12 ), where the saints enjoy a new name (2:17 ) and sing a new song (5:9 ). I wish and pray that all of us reborn as a new creation in Christ Jesus. Happy Easter!!! God bless you!!! With love and prayers, -Rev. Fr. Arockia A. NEW LIFE IN CHRIST

Dear brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ,

God has brought his people salvation in Jesus Christ, a gift that is described throughout the Scriptures as new life. Can a butterfly go back into a cocoon after it’s come out as a caterpillar? It can’t hap-pen. Once the caterpillar becomes a butterfly, it is what it is — a butterfly. When you become a believer, you’re like that butterfly — you come out of your cocoon. Re-generation places believers on the road of faith whereby they be-come new creations (2 Cor 5:17 ) and enjoy a new life in Christ (Rom 6:4 ). In spite of that reality, believers wrestle with the old na-ture and old self. They must seek to put on the new self (Eph 4:24 ) and to follow the new commandment of Christ (1 John 2:8 ). The gift of new life was foretold by the prophets in the Old Testa-ment. He will create a new heaven and new earth (21:1 ), a new Jerusalem (3:12 ), where the saints enjoy a new name (2:17 ) and sing a new song (5:9 ).

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION PCCW (ALTAR SOCIETY) The PCCW will meet after Mass on Sunday, Apr. 8th. All women of the parish are invited to at-tend.

MASS TO BEGIN AT ST JOHN’S APR 22 We will resume Mass at St John’s in Fairchild starting on Sunday Apr. 22nd. We need some vol-unteers to air out the church and do a good cleaning before that date. Contact Dawn Kaufman or Bob Mayer and let us know if you are able to clean, and what day(s) would be good.

THANK YOU! We would like to thank all those who showed up to help clean at Immaculate Conception, we got a lot of work done with the big crew, and it was greatly appreciated!

ROSARY GROUP We would like to form a Rosary Group that would get together a few times a month to pray the rosary. This will be in the warmer weather months, as we would be doing it outside. If you are interested, please sign up on the sheets provided in church. It would also be helpful if you would indicate your preference for day of the week, and what time of day would be best for you.

DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET Something has come up and we will not be doing the Divine Mercy Chaplet at St Joseph’s as planned. We encourage you to pray this Novena on your own. If you have the myParish app, it shows how to pray the chaplet, or you can look it up online. We have also printed out a few sheets, if you cannot look online.

LOW SUNDAY COLLECTION The 2018 La Crosse Diocesan Council of Catholic Women Annual Collection will be take up on Saturday April 7 & Sunday April 8, 2018 Collections are to be taken up by the parish wom-en. Proceeds are used for spirituality days, education, conventions, workshops, leadership, training, support, and charitable works throughout the Diocese.

CLEANING ST JOSEPH’S RECTORY We will begin cleaning St Joseph’s rectory on Monday, April 9th, around 10:00 AM. It won’t all get done on that day, but it’s a start. Please contact Rozanne (715-334-5797) if you want info on when they will be cleaning.

12 APOSTLES/72 DISCIPLES Please remember the 12 Apostles and 72 Disciples. Those who participate in daily Mass will be called Apostles, those who participate continually on Sunday, will be called Disciples. We en-courage your attendance at daily Mass, and ask that you encourage others to participate, at least on Sunday, if not daily. If you have a free morning, come to Mass during the week. It only takes a 1/2 hour, and it’s a good way to start off your day.

NEXT WEEK: FLOWERS AND EASTER MEMORIALS
