Treyce Meredith is a senior in The Arcata Arts Institute (AAI). Next year he will attend California College of the Arts (CCA), majoring in Interaction Design. This book was created as his AP Studio Concentration. Treyces inspiration comes from his learning disability; because of his dyslexia, he has always seen letters differently from the rest of the world. This inspired him to make a book showing highly abstract representations of the letter forms. The pieces were created through the exploration of Shape, Color, Pattern and The Figure Ground relationship. Each of the designs seen on the pages were created by fonts sliced and diced, over-lapped and combined. Treyce would like to thank his art teachers Anne Bown-Crawford, Johanna Mauro, and Donovan Clark for everything theyve done.
