Welcome to TresillianTresillian is a vibrant community arts centre that provides recreational courses and activities for members. With four term programs each year, there is a wide variety of courses on offer including arts, languages, handicrafts and health and fitness. A quarterly school holiday program for children and youth provides an opportunity for learning new skills in a fun and creative atmosphere.

Visit Tresillian today to view our featured artist and pop-up exhibitions – there’s a new exhibition each month. This term, we are also delighted to host our annual Student and Tutor Exhibition, showcasing artworks from our diverse students and talented tutors.

Observing the human form – Nightwith Ian de Souza

Extend yourself using charcoal, pastel or paint as you learn to observe and interpret the model. The artist will teach you different ways of thinking to express yourself creatively.

Each monoprint provides a completely unique positive and negative version of each composition, which cannot be re-created. Celebrate unpredictability and experimentation while we look at some modern printmaking techniques and artists that align with this project.

Neon Art Partywith Jae Criddle (Ages 6 to 12)We will be making art in the dark! Using neon paints and glitter under blacklights, there will be several art activities ready for students to explore. This session is all about experimentation and play. The artworks might lose their magic when you take them out to the sunlight but don’t worry – you can take home a blacklight torch to experience the neon glow!

Sew Kids – Library Bagwith Jude Ewen (Ages 8 to 12)This fun workshop for beginners is an introduction to using a sewing machine. You will find out how to thread the machine, wind a bobbin and learn about stitch length and width and the correct settings needed, depending on the fabric to be used. You will take home your unique library bag after you have sewn it in class.

Acrylic Painting on Canvas – Flamingowith Natalie Zuchetti (Ages 8 to 14)Explore colour, composition, texture, tone and mark-making using acrylics on canvas. Learn how to use a grid drawing technique and enjoy an introduction to colour theory.

Mosaic Star or Snowflakewith Natalie Zuchetti (Ages 8 to 14)

Create a mosaic star or snowflake using glass tiles and gems. Mosaic art is a fun and creative process that inspires children to use their imagination through creative expression. This full-day workshop leaves you with a finished artwork for indoor display.

Drawing with Naturewith Stephanie Reisch (Ages 10 to 15)Students will create mixed media drawings that reference the surrounding environment by using materials derived from nature such as wax, raw pigments and organic objects. The worskshop caters for all skill levels in a fun and supportive environment.

Origami Animals, Gardens and Modelswith Tomomi Yamamoto (Ages 5 to 11)Enjoy creating origami animals, gardens and models using Japanese origami papers. In this workshop you will also learn a brief history of origami. Take your creations home with you to display or play!

Annual membership is required at Tresillian Arts Centre for all term courses. Anyone wishing to attend a course, except for the school holiday program, After School Arts or weekend workshops, must be a member of the centre.Enrolments for Term Four 2018 will open on Monday 17 September 2018.

Payment may be made as follows:

• Due to popularity of courses, places cannot be held without payment.

• An enrolled student cannot have another individual attend a class in their absence.

• Students may only attend the day and time of the class they are enrolled in.

• Swapping of classes is not permitted.• Participants in the term courses, full day and

weekend workshops must be over 18 years of age.

• No children are to accompany an adult to classes.

• Courses without the minimum number of participants by one week before the start date of the course will be cancelled.

• Most courses require additional materials to be purchased by the student.

• A 20% administration fee applies to cancellations made prior to the beginning of term.

• No refund will be given once term has commenced.

• Classes are not held on public holidays.• Course start and fi nishing dates may vary due

to public holidays and availability of the course tutor.

• A full refund will only be given if a course is cancelled by the Tresillian Arts Centre.

• A refund will only be given if you have a medical certifi cate for the dates you have missed.

• Membership is non-refundable.• No pro-rata payments for term courses or if
